“Lovely place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

We really enjoyed our day here, drove the long way via Chapmans Peak the road is spectacular. We went first to the visitors centre which some interesting exhibits of the flora and fauna. Drove down to the point and decided we would use the funicular to vist the lighthouse. There was a special offer running of 2 for one tickets but you had to ask for it or you were charged for two. The views were amazing and there was lots of birdlife. Dirving back we made a detour to Oilfantsbos as we had heard that there was an ostrich there and we weren't disappointed, we also saw baboons and some Bontebok as well as gorgeous flowers. We then realised that it was getting late and we needed to leave the park before closing time.

“Done it once if a lifetime”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

I have been to many coastline but this one is just way different. Make sure you climb up to the top of the cape point. You will be able to see whales if you are lucky. The view from the top is absolutely stunning. Be prepared to pay R90 per person to enter the park. The park is well maintained. The Banboo is very annoying though, they will snatch your food if you aren't careful.
It's an easy 1.5 hours drive from cape town, make sure you drop by St James beach on your way, bring a swimmer if you like a swim.

“Not exactly where the two oceans meet but very scenic indeed.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2013

I was always under the impression that this is where the two oceans meet. That is not really the case but it is much more scenic and pretty then Cape Agulhas, which is the southernmost point. The drive to the much touristy wooden board that says that you are here is amazing. On the right you will see the sea crashing on the shores with strong winds and water in the air. Take the flying dutchman to the top and see the view from there. This is a must visit just for the views. Advice - Try to hit the wooden board for the touristy i-was-here photo before the big buses come or you might struggle to get a picture with the board.

Taking a picture at the Cape of Good Hope is a thrill! If you are up for it, take the hike up to the Point.

Seeing ostriches, mongooses, baboons, and penguins all on one trip and the beautiful ocean is great.
