Great place and you may even seee some animals in the park. get there early as the place closes around 6pm and the gates close at sunset. In february this wa 7.52pm. we got to main viewpoint but everything was closed so we went to the lower viewpoint which is equally spectacular. loved it

It's one of those things you have to do, isn't it? Plus it was beautiful and on the clear day we were there we were able to see Antarctica.

Beautiful, dramatic scenery. We saw dassies, ostriches and birds and hope to return in whale season.
The walk up to Cape Point lighthouse is tough- older family members took the funicular which was a good idea!

Go against traffic down the False Bay side first. Stop in Simons Town for the penguins on the way down. Bring cash for the entrance fee at the national park down at the Cape. Go back through Chapmans Peak . Great views.
