When we arrived we were greeted by Ivona, what a pleasant girl and a credit to the hotel. If they have employer of the year she should be considered. She gave us lots of tips for when we were out and about. Using public transport etc. Having said that all the staff were polite and welcoming.
It is extremely clean and our room was massive. One minor dissappoinment was that there was no balcony.
We stayed for 12 nights. The bed was big and comfortable. The bed linen was changed every other day. The girl who cleaned our room was lovely and was rewarded for her efforts.
We found the food to be very good and varied, The maître de kept the waiters and waitresses on their toes and plates were removed as soon as they were finished with.
We have stayed in plusher hotels than this but for an early season get-away it was very good. Maybe later in the season it becomes a bit manic.
We were not too impressed with the entertainment but then again most AI venues are average. If I never see another belly dancer it will be too soon. She seemed to be on every other night. It is easy if you don't like it walk into Budva or Becici.
I would not go back to Montenegro via Dubrovnik as the transfer is horrific but we were told prior to going that it can be 2-3 hours so we were armed with the information.

The hotel was as expected - lovely staff, good food, adequate rooms, very clean, beautiful surroundings.

Now here are the problems: I have stayed at many all inclusives and this was the worst. Never been to a hotel where there was no lemonade, no sprite etc. Sparkling wine was not included, no proper tonic water, no liqueurs other than local brandy and all inclusive drinks finished at 11pm - totally different from other iberostars we've stayed in.

The hotel claims to have a no reservation policy on sunbeds - this is nonsense and if they do it is not enforced. I never thought I would have to get up at 5am to secure a sunbed - I didn't like to be one of the many reserving them but I was left with no choice. I would have been happy to go on the beach but it was barely possible to walk between all the people let alone find a place to lay down. I have never seen such a crowded beach in all my life.

Its a shame to say it but my experience of Russian people on holiday is that they are very rude, and the demographic of the hotel is 95% Russian. Something to bear in mind if this would be a issue for you.

Overall it could have a been a wonderful holiday what with the incredible location and lovely staff. However the resort was overrun with people and the hotel seems to have a weak grasp of the all inclusive concept - all inclusive should mean just that, I shouldn't have to read the small print.

We lament reading your dissatisfaction on our All Inclusive treatment, however we would like to point out that both on our brochure and website, the information regarding the drinks is reported, only local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included from 10.00 to 23.00; as we feel very sorry to read your disappointment we invite you for future holidays planning with us to contact our call center where we can offer you a personalized booking guidance and give you all the relevant information for you to choose the destination, hotel type and treatment that best fits your holiday needs and wishes, because as you well mention, other hotels of our company include foreign liquor brands too in the all-inclusive treatment.

According to the hotel policy, reserving sunbeds is not allowed. We do our utmost to ensure the following of this standard and apologize if exceptionally during your stay we weren’t able to have a total control on this matter; we commit to study a way to avoid this from happening in the future.

Some of the reviews of this hotel are laughable, you must be accustomed to staying in some sheds if you enjoyed this hotel. Bland, boring food, rude Russians, poor beach with rip-off sunbeds, hotel sunbeds constantly covered-up by selfish idiots (of which hotel does nothing about), bars that charge cash although you paid for all-inclusive, you have to pay for the safe, you have to pay to use the gym, drinks run out, the excursions are overly-expensive and are unimpressive to say the least. If you fly into Dubrovnik, stay there! It takes ages to transfer from Dubrovnik to the hotel!! 3 hours sometimes, sat in queues at border controls (even the Russians have to stay in line!). Simply don't do it. Poor service, expensive holiday.

We had 2 weeks holiday here in august , the hotel is very nice could not fault it the staff were very nice , Dennis the bar man was very good at his job nothing was to much trouble for him , we really enjoyed his service
The only complaint i have is that i left my mobile phone in the room the morning we were leaving ( 1st sept )and when i went back for get it the room had been cleaned and the phone had not been handed in to reception , when i retuned home i phoned it and the receptionist answered it and stated that they found it after i had left the hotel , she said she would give it to my rep the next time he was at the hotel which she did but 2 months later i still have not had the phone returned to me , iv been told its been posted on 3 diffrent dates by jet2 holidays

we returned home a week ago after having a really great holiday at this hotel the food and staff were really good and fully recommend going
there is a really good choice of food for all meals something for every body
good for couples and families as there is plenty for the children to do
we would like to say a special thank you to dennis (the menace) the waiter/barman who will do any thing for you nothing is any trouble always got a smile for every one
we recommend the boat trip around the bay in budva should not be missed

Flew to Montenegro for a week at the beginning of October. I must have chosen the wettest week to be there. Sunny the week before I arrived and sunny the day I left. Becici itself was almost closed down for the winter. Budva, was a good 15 minutes away on foot. Regular buses and not expensive. Old part of Budva is very nice. Hotel was very good with plenty of food choices. Hotel in own grounds and has three hotel blocks (grand, terrace and park) . We'll maintained grounds and very close to beach.

Never again will i use Saga for a holiday, as the two center holiday the other hotel Asteria in Mlini Croatia and this hotel, the previous was only three stars though so had a excuse for being poor, But this hotel backed on too a massive building site a constant drone from hammer drills,dumper trucks etc.the hotel is two hotels stuck together in the middle you thus you have to use two sets of lifts to get from your room to all services restaurant, saga little room etc.We encountered gypsies on the beach burning off the plastic from copper cables with which we felt very was very intimadating all though the only saving grace was the stunning scenery from the mountains,half built hotels abound very little to do ,a dirty damp,squalid half lit tunnel to the beach.never again will i use Saga or go to Montineggro again. And neither hotel provided tea/coffee in rooms = a long walk with both sets off lifts tea is thus cold by the time you get back to your room i will stop now as it destresses me to wright so negitivly.

Room Tip: no a/c they turn it off in August.

We are sorry to hear that a building work nearby the hotel was a nuisance during your holiday; however there is very little we can do on this point, the hotel not being responsible for other private sites.

Moreover, we are very surprised to read your comment related to the presence of people burning plastic on the beach, however we would like to point out that, our private beach is constantly secured by our security guards and we can only assume that you refer to another beach nearby, however we have never received any complaint on this point and lament not being informed about this during your stay.

Finally, we regret reading that you were disappointed about the absence of a tea/coffee machine in the room, however we would like to point out that we do not provide this service as reported both on our website and brochure, nevertheless, we could have provided you one through our reception, we invite you for any future occasion to contact our reception for whatever you may need to fully enjoy your holidays among us.
