“Beautiful, modern, good price”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

Hotel looks brand new, modern - great breakfast. Important that they keep the maintainance up to date - the door to the terrace in my room was broken. Good location for people like me that was there on business.

Room Tip: It looks like the best rooms are the bangaloos next to the pool.

Semiramis hotel is absolutely fabulous. Everyone is very nice, the rooms are very clean and the cocktails are to die for. Try the ginger mojito by the pool. The term holidays takes a whole other meaning!
One of the best hotels in Athens in one of the best neighborhoods. Really loved the place and i will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is modern (a bit too pink for my taste but some people may have a different opinion). It is located in a very good part of Athens however. The area is upscale and there are quite a few nice bars/pubs right around the corner (< 5-min walk). the room itself has all necessary amenities and has a quite modern feel. the (king size) bed is very comfortable. High speed internet is available, which is quite important to me. Especially when traveling on business. The bathroom is clean and roomy. Quite a bit of a color contrast everywhere in the hotel but you get used to that ... in due time. If you have the time, have a drink around the pool area late at night. It's a nice experience. They serve breakfast in the same area in the mornings. Breakfast is simple, but taken care of. Not the most choices in the world, but the choices that you have are tasteful.

I would certainly stay here again next time in Greece - if the price is right!

Yes this hotel is pink, but if you have stayed in one too many "beige" Hilton/Hyatt look-a-likes it's refreshingly different. Unfortunately it's a bit of a trek into town if you're in Athens for the acropolis etc, but that is the only (slight) downside. All the rest is perfect. The food is great at breakfast, and the evening menu is sublime. However the glue that sticks it all together is the staff. The service is excellent - they're all very happy, eager that your stay is as good as it can be. I've lived in Greece for two years, and naturally pleasant service like this can be hard to find. Stay at the Semiramis and you will see for yourself.

Trendy design concept hotel full of coloured glass and pastel shades of pink, orange, cream and light green (photos illustrate this best). Many modern works of art on display. Rooms are clean and functional, with some quirky twists, e.g. there are no room numbers, so each room is represented by a symbol; the (four) guest floors are simply colour coded (as is your room keycard, to match); you can choose from three red LCD banner messages which flash up underfoot outside your door such as 'do not disturb'; the inside of the entrance door is a big mirror, as is an entire wall inside your shower cubicle etc etc. Air conditioning is good, rooms are fully carpeted, and each comes with a small yellow glass balcony which is brightly lit up at night. So you have to lower two sets of blinds (one electric, one manual) to achieve a degree of darkness room. Soundproofing seems ok but hard to tell as adjacent rooms were empty, indeed the hotel seemed only 20% occupied in mid April. King beds are very wide, mattresses new/firm, pillows rather thick & spongy, bathrooms (all glass/tiles) somewhat small and basic, there's no shaving mirror and the bathroom wall mirror is at an irritating angle to the washbasin. Shower is excellent. There's a reasonable 24h hotel gym and a very colourful (non heated) pool which features in a number of the 'design hotel' magazines left liberally scattered around the property. Underground self-parking and breakfast are included. Breakfast is in a pleasant and bright glassy area overlooking the pool, the buffet is decent 4* standard plus you can request made-to-order eggs etc.
Advice: if you require a peaceful night, request a pool-facing room at the rear of the hotel. The views across Kifissia to Mt Parnes to the front of the building may be spectacular, but you will not get to sleep until the small hours as young drivers seem to love revving their engines along Charilaou Trikoupi street all night.

Room Tip: Stay at rear (facing pool) if you want to escape traffic noise!
