This business has been around since 1892...and at the particular place at least since the 1930s. It has retained that old, traditional atmosphere, which is rather refreshing paradoxically when everything around us is constantly changing. You can enjoy the place in the summer in the back yard under the humungus trees, or in winter, inside by the fireplace. You can also opt to sit in the front part on the street tables and enjoy the coming and going of the people in kifissia.
They have all the traditional Greek pastries for which they are well known, the 'galaktoboureko' (milk pie) being one of my favourites, and they are also well known for their 'tsourekia' (sweet bread), which are in great demand every day. You can also buy fresh milk and yogurt made by them, as well as yummy marmelades and other sweet things.
It is a fast paced place in the shopping area, as they have a lot of every day clientele, but once you sit in the back garden or indoor sitting area, you can relax and feel you're going backwards in time!
It is the most authentic Greek place you can go to in Kifissia to enjoy your Greek coffee and sweets, chat with friends, or just observe the crowds passing by.
As you may guess it is the old folks preferred gathering-meeting spot, but because of it's central location it also attracts families, and working people taking a quick break. Because of It's character it also attracts artists and actors, musicians etc and you might often encounter them sitting next to you.
