It was absolutely fascinating! Huge oak casts, antiques wine making machinery. Be sure to take advantage of the tastings here. Excellent wine.

“Good idea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2013

50 pesos to visit and also you can use this amount to buy vine. For me is one of the best. Because you can use your entrance money to buy vine. And the museum is interesting and wonderful. Thank you

“Good value and nice tour for the "non-tour" type”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

The cost of the tour and tasting is 50 pesos, but the entry fee is good towards purchasing a bottle at the end. Unfortunately you have to get through the hour long tour (I am not a big tour person) and low-quality tasting to get this benefit but it's definitely worth it! We purchased wine blindly (as the wine that was given at the tasting was no bueno) but we are happy with our picks! I paid an extra 2 pesos for 2 bottles of delicious wine (my boyfriend and I combined our vouchers). Overall, it's a good experience as an intro to Maipu. I will say that our tour was monolingual and I can't speak on whether or not that is always the case? Fortunately I have working knowledge of Spanish and our guide was very personable and energetic but this may be a problem otherwise!

“Excellent value”

Great vineyard to start your time in Mendoza at! The tour provides an in-depth history of the Rutini family (one of the best wine makers in Argentina), as well as providing the opportunity to see many pieces of ancient wine making equipment (more interesting than it sounds, haha!) The best part is that the 50 peso entrance fee becomes a credit to spend towards wine purchases at the end of the tour, so you essentially spend nothing on the tour and come away with some of Argentina's best wine! Fantastic deal.

“An interesting insight into Mendoza wine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

Following 4 hectic days of sightseeing in Buenos Aires we travelled to Mendoza to relax and learn a bit more about one of Argentina's famous wine industry. We stayed in Maipú, an ideal location. We arrived at the museum and learned in our woefully inadequate Spanish that we could join a tour but it was in Spanish language only. This did not in any way detract from our experience as a number of our fellow visitors were very happy to translate for us. This was very typical of the hospitality we received during our visit to Mendoza.
The museum guided tour was extremely interesting giving us a great insight into the history of wine making in the region. And the tasting at the end of the tour was generous. Lots of good value wines available for purchase
