Description: Located in the Maipu farm, in front of the olive mill and extraction area with the latest technology and only feet from the olive plantations, Pan y Oliva is the second gastronomic enterprise of the Zuccardi Family and is a part of the ample touristic offerings through Casa del Visitante. It's essence can be summed up in three concepts: Restaurant - Delicatessen - Classroom. Pan y Oliva has a style that is drastically different than that of the Casa del Visitante, being much more informal making olive oil the prominent product. Tapas, pastas, salads and homemade dishes prepared with fresh and seasonal ingredients, have a relevant place in unstructured gastronomy, and in which it is easy to notice Mediterranean and regional influences.

This place was really great! We ordered some pasta and they were generous potions and really affordable. Highly recommended

We enjoyed a lovely cooking class and lunch, as well as a tour of the olive oil production. A wonderful afternoon!

We went here as part of a private wine tasting tour. We had been told it was an amazing restaurant and we would get wine pairing (understand this last comment was promised by the tour seller and not the restaurant). We got wine, but just what we chose with no input from a wine specialist, the waitress was good and lovely but just a waitress.
The bread and olive oil werebrilliant.
The starters were good, average tasting, nothing amazing but good.
The mains (pastas) were average, could do with more flavour, the pasta was fresh but the sauce below average, we added loads of Parmesan to add flavour.
The deserts were ok too, just ok. Cheesecake.
Overall the food was ok. Except the bread and olive oil, and wine, which were all brilliant.

Having read several approving reviews of this little place I was disappointed by the meal. The three courses all looked wonderful with the pasta particularly spectacular with beet root-infused blue tagliatelle, shaved yellow and red peppers and local mushrooms. But only the eyes enjoyed it. The taste was bland and dull. The ice cream and cheesecake dessert was similarly vivid but ordinary on the palate.

Great little restaurant with comfortable ambience, awesome food and service. Try the olive oils they produce there, and after (or before) lunch go outside for the view. A must do.
