At the southeast corner of el Járdin in Mineral de Pozos is a small arched wooden double door that is the entrance to bed and breakfast, El Secreto. Once you step through that portal you have an "ah" moment. You are greeted by the color and texture of ManRey's landscaping artistry.
The proprietors, Nick Hamblen and ManRey, are true artists and the consummate hosts. They are gracious and accommodating. You are immediately made to feel at home. The staff is genuinely friendly and respectful. You wish your nephew to experience lamb cooked in an outdoor pit? Done! Sí se puede!
We enjoyed discovering the local mine ruins, Pozos' cobblestone streets, and it's local artists. We based out of Pozos and took cabs to Guanajuato and San Miguel. All very affordable.
The rooms are clean, very comfortable, and all have Nick's special touch. We stayed in room B.
The king sized bed was extremely comfortable. The staff provided early coffee for us in the patio by our room. Sweet! And the breakfasts were amazing.
El Secret de Pozos is a must on everyone's bucket list. We will definitely return ........ soon!More
