We were pleasantly surprised to find this jewell. What more can you ask for if spending time away from home.
Yes it is not a five star kind of destination but the staff is very efficient, friendly and helpfull.
The view is fantastic and we spotted whales too.
We felt absolutely safe after a long day driving on roads that almost lead us in wrong directions (if you listen to your gps).
The food was good country cooking and the room smelled beautifully fragrant and fresh. Bathroom is tiny and not modern but clean and hygeinic.

The hotel rooms' bathrooms needs an upgrade and the food really not up to standard, very average. Compared to other hotels in the Wild Coast, this one needs attention to detail. Staff also needs training.

Room was spotlessly clean although bathroom suite a bit tired. Meal was a typical homecooked affair buffet style and wholesome. Down side was that there was no hot water for shower/bath night or morning.

Room Tip: Although more expensive, we were told afterwards that they get hot water first!

After a very steep climb upstairs, we were rewarded with an unterrupted view of Coffee Bay. We saw a huge pod of dolphins and a few whales from our balcony. Massive, comfortable bed and clean, if small, bathroom. Excellent food buffets for dinner and breakfast with enough options for even picky eaters. Friendly, helpful staff.

Although the hotel has grown we loved our overnight stay there. The drive down from the N2 was easy and not a problem at all.
Our sea facing room was great. The restaurant has a limited but good menu. The service was great and we will return for a longer stay.

Room Tip: Sea views on the same level as reception.
