We had read so many wonderful things about this place that we decided to drive the hour or so to check it out for ourselves. It did not disappoint! Since it was the rainy season, we had pretty much the whole place to ourselves. We started with the ahi tuna salad and it was absolutely wonderful. Living in California, we are no strangers to amazing cuisine but my husband and I agreed it was one of the best salads we had eaten- so fresh and full of flavor. The portion was so large that when our waitress came back to get our entree, we passed! We did get some sort of brownie sundae, which was ok- exactly what you would expect it to be. The wine was pretty good as well. Overall, probably the best meal we had during our entire stay in Costa Rica- and it was just a salad!

Amazing food, everything was so fresh and perfectly cooked. The Chef Eyal is certainly a character. I can see how some people might find him a bit over the top, but the food he delivered was amazing and he just added to the experience. Make sure to finish everything on your plate! and let Chef Eyal order for you! You will not be disappointed!

Chef Ayel creates incredible and varied dishes which all surprised this less than adventuress 'meat & potatoes' guy. Moroccan Beef, duck quesadillas, succulent San Luis ribs and incredible salads kept me replete and away from the competition 3 days running. No reason to look elsewhere. Terrific staff anticipated needs, often before I recognized them. I recommend highly and would drive from anywhere in Costa Rica for the experience.

The Chef Eyal is a world class chef and the epitome of a foodie. His food is amazing and unique. He features 4 items a day on his menu, 3 salads, and 3 desserts. The prices look very expensive until they explain that the courses are large enough to share and they truly are. The tropical salad is to die for and his ribs were fall off the bone fantastic. The hotel is small with only 3 rooms and 2 casitas but the service was worth of a 5 star hotel. All of the staff makes you feel like family and they are forth coming with suggestions for attractions and things to do. Would definitely go back and recommended to everyone we met while in Costa Rica

We were lucky enough to find this place, and it was a meal highlight of our 3-week trip to Costa Rica. The owner and chef, Ayel, was incredible, funny, outrageous, and eccentric. And the food was just incredible, every bit of it. The ambiance was wonderful, and although we didn't stay there, the individually-themed bungalows looked amazing! Don't miss it!
