“Great hosts, great food, great value”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

We ended up making a few visits to Allan and Lynette as this is really one of the hidden gems of Tobago.

In an unimposing shack along the road to Pigeon Point, it was the perfect place to fill up on lovely fresh seafood and some interesting sides.

As they only have two tables (on the terrace overlooking the beach - can get pretty hot out there during the afternoon) it's a good idea to stop by and let them know you'll be coming and if there's anything special you might like; definitely worth trying the lobster simply done. Whatever you want, your hosts will bend over backwards to accommodate.

Allan was really helpful in finding and preparing some great fresh-caught kingfish for us for a family grill one evening too.

Thanks for some wonderful memories!

“Perfection in paradise!”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

This is our second trip in Tobago. Last year we were lucky to meet Allan who used to grill fish and lobster on the beach to this work mates, friends and customers in the evening. This year we were happy to discover on the internet that Allan and his charming fiancée, Lynette, had opened their own little restaurant on the Pigeon Point Road, right before you enter the Pigeon Point Heritage Park aka The Beach. :)

The restaurant is very small, sort of a hut. There is a small terrace at front where Allan has set his bbq. Inside you can see the open kitchen, which is extremely clean and tidy. The magic of this place happens behind the restaurant, seaside, on a wooden decking. There are two tables with their chairs and parasols. You need to be there around 5 pm to be able to catch the sunset - right there, in front of your eyes. Order an ice-cold drink from Lynette, sit back and relax! You know you're in paradise! :)

The food is delicious! You can choose your lobster - fresh, alive & kicking, caught the same day by the fishermen next door. You can also choose the size (& the price) of your lobster: from small to deluxe. 350 TT dollars (~44 euros) for the deluxe lobster! You'll never get that in a European restaurant! Allan's grilled fish is the most delicious fish we've ever had! There are different sides to choose from: fries, garlic bread, potato and pasta salad, green banana coleslaw...The prices are more than reasonable and the service is friendly and professional.

We are happy to have found our regular place in Tobago. We go to the beach for the day and on our way back home, we stop at "Lynette and Allan's" for dinner (and the breath-taking sunset, some drinks, lovely smiles and pleasant chatting). Go there and you won't regret it!

“Excellent food, service and value for money!”
Reviewed November 17, 2012 via mobile

I had an excellent dinner experience at Tobago Paradise Travel & Grill! The owners/operators Lynette and Allan were very friendly and professional from start to finish. My lobster was grilled to perfection and the sides were great. The cold beer kept coming. Their on-the-beach deck is vey comfortable. Value for money was great! When the sun set and the mosquitos came out, repellent, coils and candles were offered to keep th away.

I'd come back and I recommend dining here without reservations of any kind.

“Definitely worth the experience.”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

The restaurant lies on the road to Pigeon Point on the left. When it was first pointed out to us we were a little dubious but the welcome and service we received was real friiendly and soon put us at ease. We stopped bye in the afternoon on our way back from the park and arranged what we'd like to eat, so that when we arrived later in the evening, there was time for a cold beer before the meal arrived. A very small terrace overlooks the sea creating a wonderful atmosphere of calmness. The grilled Red Snapper was some of the best we tasted anywhere on Tobago, and the pasta salad was just amazing. The kitchen is open plan and very clean, so you can see exactly what's going into your meal. For a taste and experience of Tobago home cooking, it's definitely worth the effort to get out there. For a charge of below 200TT for two who needs fairly lights and fountains when you have cooking like this.
