This hotel is really nice and the pool, beach and rooms are all good, but the service on my trip was unfortunately lacking. Reception had disinterested staff who should learn how to smile and welcome customers and the bar/restaurant staff were pretty dreadful! It's not their fault though as the management have clearly not bothered training them and have just employed the cheapest staff they can find. A little care and effort from the management would make a huge difference if the staff were taught not to just disappear for ages from the bar, and also to try their best to get the customer what they want instead of just saying 'don't have' or 'no you can't order that right now' without any explanation when the menu clearly says that you should be able to get it!
They should appreciate that people arrive to the hotel from a lot of different time zones so will be hungry at different times and not always want something deep fried.

The best part of our stay was definitely the location. Close to beach, and pool with places to eat within walking distance (pizza boy=yummy). There is also a convenience store and casino next door.

I would give the hotel a 4 star...due to the added convenience of a full size fridge, stove top and microwave. All great features when travelling over a period of time. Unfortniately I was only able to stay for 2 nights, 3 Days.

I would recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay again. The hotel is average in terms of comparison to other places that I have stayed (Mexico, Cuba, Jamacia etc) but in terms of available hotels in Tobago...I'd say it is closer to a 4 star!!

Only complaint is that the internet was painfully slow and beach towels were to be used for 3 days (yuk but not a deal breaker). We had plenty ants one night...my fault...left chocolate out (wrapped up but not good enough). Bed was hard but I love it that way. I always travel with my own blanket and pillow so no complaints there.

Definitely recommend the Bucco Reef and Nylon Pool tours!! Great fun but the best time of all was at Argyle Falls a must see. Proper footwear is a must. The climb is easy but could be intimidating (as it is a narrow climb). But definitely worth the climb. I will also be going back here! Facilities are available price was $30 TT (residents)...although we are not residents we were charged that amount!! Worth every penny. Just wish we had more time to enjoy.

Room Tip: From what I've read...it seems that Cabana's are less secure. Something to think about when...

Hotel isn't the most luxurious but has been recently updated with modern amenities, cable tv, A/C, WiFi, roof, decor etc. Stayed in Cabanas. Relatively private and away from main block, Fantastic Grounds. Lots of open space and excellent views of the ocean. Right next to several eating places and beaches/snorkeling etc.Not much else to do except to sit back and relax.Couple blocks away by foot from the airport. No rental car needed if you aren't planning to move around a lot. Rooms have small kitchens and refrigerator etc. Close by mini groceries as well. Pool and Bar.

Room Tip: Consider the cabana for added privacy.

I just returned from my trip and am feeling so relaxed! All of the staff, including management are very helpful and do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

The manager Joel went above and beyond. He did what he could to ensure we all were able to experience the local foods and culture. His staff was just as amazing if not more so.

Chef Sabina's curried chicken and potatoes were to die for! (She is the restaurant chef). Unfortunately curry is not a staple on their menu, otherwise I would have given a 5 star review

The casino, groceries and most other amenities are within walking distance or a short cab ride away. Definitely a hotel I would return to!

We have posted previously about how much we love the location, the people, and this jewel of a place—the Crown Point Beach Hotel. We come every year for nearly three months. This time I want to post specifically about one of the highlights of our stay each week when the Anne-Marie Baksh trio plays on Saturday nights. We organize our Saturdays to make sure we never miss a performance and are available to take advantage of incredible singing by Anne-Marie, keyboard playing by Peter, and pan playing and vocals by Dan. It’s of such a high calibre that you would have to pay to attend such entertainment in many other countries.

Our friends from other hotels and locations are drawn here on Saturday nights also and everyone—long-term residents, short-term vacationers, and locals—jumps up and dances together to the terrific music. Last night, there were people dancing of all ages—from young children to those of advanced years. Such fun.

This group draws far more people to their performances than any other performer or entertainment available nearby. Kudos to those in management responsible for recognizing and featuring the talented Anne-Marie Baksh trio here each week.
