This is the perfect place for a short stay...conveniently located...within easy walking distance of airport, store bay and several eating choices. Rooms are basic but very comfortable and clean..options for early and late check in/out a great service. Very friendly staff.

Our stay here was great with regard to its advantageous location, near to the airport, Store Bay, mini mart, car rentals. The staff is also nice and willing to assist.
The only issues were that there was no cable or even basic local news channels. You'd have to walk with dvds. The fridge made noise throughout the entire nights, the cutlery and appliances need an upgrade, as well as the door to the bathroom, tiles are discolored and curtains are needed above the bathroom windows. The price could be cheaper for the quality of the room but I guess you're paying for the location and convenience.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay here in Tobago. I appreciate your candid review, and will certainly address some of your points. I only wish you had used the services of our staff who are always wlling to help, to make your stay at Bananaquit more pleasant. We were eventually informed of the fridge situation by the guest after your stay and it was easily rectified.

Our reception is open 9-5 and sometimes until 9 pm if we have late check ins . We have a library of almost 100 DVDs to choose from in reception and Im sorry if you were not informed about this.

We are a budget hotel and try to keep our standard rates competitive; There is a minimum stay of 3 nights but we do try to accommodate one night stays where possible, however the same rate will not apply. Our guest room is not equipped as fully as our regular studios and utilised more during peak season when our hotel is fully booked. I hope you will get an opportunity to return and experience our usual amenities.
Kind Regards
Rachel Best

We stayed here for 4 nights post-Carnival, keen for some beach-time. It's a very handy location - just around the corner from the airport (but not noisy), 5 mins to the beach & cafes, with a fruit stall & mini-mart on the corner.

The rooms were simple with basic furniture, clean & comfortable. Our room had a small downstairs with kitchen/couch/bathroom, with the sleeping area in a loft upstairs with air conditioning & a TV. We appreciated having a little kitchen so we could do some simple self-catering. Unfortunately the key lock on our balcony sliding door wasn't working, so we had to make do with pushing through a small bolt from the inside which secured the door. This seemed adequate and we had no problems with security/theft.
The owner was friendly and helpful, and assisted us with airport transport (for my mum) which was greatly appreciated. We enjoyed our stay here, and would recommend it to others looking for somewhere quiet, comfortable and good value.

My husband and I visited Tobago after Carnival for some R&R. Bananaquit Apartments was perfect in every way; 5 minutes walk from the airport; 5 minutes walk to the beach. The loft was clean and the hostess friendly. We could not ask for anything more. We would highly recommend Bananaquit to family and friends; we will definitely stay at Bananaquit on next visit to Tobago.

Room Tip: if you are looking for place to stay close to the beach this is the place.

I stayed here with a group of girl friends (4 of us total) and we rented a loft apartment. The apartment sleeps 4 people comfortably (2 single beds and a queen bed).

It is located next door to store bay holiday resorts (SBHR) and due to some arrangement, guests at bananaquit have access to the pool at SBHR. FANTASTIC POOL btw. At bananaquit however, the free wifi didn't reach the room so we had to venture outdoors if we needed access. There is also practically no space to park a car... Maybe 2 cars can fit comfortably in the front grassy areas but there is no actual parking lot.

Aside from a minor issue with us accidentally locking ourselves out of the bathroom and the owners not having a spare key at the time (which resulted in minor acrobatics but they got the door unlocked), the overall experience was good.

One thing to note is that there is a sheep farm located just behind the property, so if your get an apartment on that side you can watch some local sheep! (No smells or loud noises from the farm)
