This was well worth the drive and a great way to mix in some nature time while visiting the cities of Spain.

The park is beautiful. The valley and the mountains around are just stunning. It is worth hiking mountains around or at least hike the valley to the end where you will see the best waterfall in the valley.

we hiked Faja de Pelay and Faja Racon. They are both very easy to find from the parking area and very easy to follow. Faja de Pelay has a very long steep start but then flattens out to become just a beautiful nature walk along a cliff edge with stunning views across the gorge - eventually to Monte Perdido. The end on the valley floor with the river rushing past was absolutely glorious!

Even if you skip the climb and just hike along the river you will have a fantastic day.

This is one of the world's beauty spots, with tall cliffs, high waterfalls, and tumbling streams. The added bonus in late October was lots of fall color and rowan tree filled with red berries. A favorite with hikers, there's also a handicapped friendly walk along the flat portion of the valley just off the parking lot.

Beautiful area, well worth a visit. Walking areas are well signed and easy to follow routes. Don't need to be super fit to enjoy the area
