As TripAdvisor has placed my previous review under the name of the wrong hotel, I have no choice but to re-post it here.
Don't confuse this, the Hostal Monasterio de Rueda, with the Hotel Monasterio de Rueda located only a couple of miles away.
The other place is a weekend retreat for those looking to spend some time in the country. This one, on the other hand, is the functional option for those travelling across Aragón for work or whatever reason, a place to break for the night and rest before continuing the next day.
The rooms are snug and no-frills, but comfortable and clean. The restaurant and, in particular, the bar downstairs are very popular with the locals; in fact, I was told there actually is nowhere else to eat in the town.
If you're not driving, the bus to Zaragoza leaves from the petrol station near the hotel - most convenient. There is also internet access on coin-operated machines in the bar.
All in all, if it's late and you're looking for somewhere to spend the night before continuing on your way, you could do much worse in rural Spain than this family-operated hostal.
