As newbie safari travellers, we were blown away by our experience of the Conservatory - the animals in abundance; the landscapes; the people; the smells and sounds. After speaking to many people, including the tour companies, we chose Naboisho Conservatory because of the way it is organised in cooperation with the local people; for the abundance of animals; the ability to go off road and the knowledgeable guides / drivers. We saw so much, from chases and kills, baby cheetahs and lions, feeding lions, elephants, zebras and giraffes etc etc. Our camp - Ol Seki - was excellent. Our drives were so packed and full we never felt the need to go into the National Park. I have no hestitation in recommending the Naboisho Conservatory or our camp.
I first visited the Masai Mara area when I was young teenager and visited the National Reserve last year after a gap of about 50 years. This was my first visit to a conservancy nearby. I had my 3 grandsons with me. We saw lion, elephant and hippo in abundance and we were fortunate to witness a 2 lionesses hunting (unsuccessfully) and a cheetah chase and kill. We stayed at the Kicheche Valley camp (please see review). I was most impressed with what I saw of conservancy management and meant that plains game was plentiful. More important is the way that the local community benefits from tourist income in many different ways - thus fostering conservation in its widest sense - and creating a strong community interest in the success of this and neighbouring conservancies. I want to thank the Conservancy and Naboisho Communityfor a memorable experience and wish them every success.
Porini Cheetah Camp guides ensured that we had the best views (we saw >20 lions in 2 days!) of animals and really customized the day. Mara Naboisho is full of wild life with a little bit of patience.
Fantastic - we saw lots of elephants, giraffes, lions, zebra, wildebeest, warthog, gazelles, impala, eland, buffalo, cheetahs, hippos, hyenas, jackals, eagles, vultures, ostrich. A beautiful place full of truly wild and very healthy animals.
Safari in Masai Mara was one of the best wildlife experiences i have had in life. Beautiful landscapes in the reserve. Trails over terrains and hills was indeed beautiful and worth a drive.
We got to see all the animals up close: Giraffes, zebras, leopard, cheetahs, lioness, wild buffaloes, hyenas, watongs, deers and every otehr animal possible. Only rhinos were missed.
Points to note: No safari post 6:30 PM; All times are good for witnessing animals.
here you can experience something like a walking safari, this cannot be done in masai mara but here. and its less crowded and therefore better chance to see animals
