Great value
Pool good
Views great
Rooms are a little tired ( we were at the rear of the hotel)
We thought the continental breakfast was over priced.
It certainly is situated in a lovely spot.
Handy for the airport also.

My friend and I enjoyed a weekend break here in June. The rooms were a bit tired looking and the valance sheet on the bed was dirty. There was plenty of hot water and sufficient tea and coffe sachets in the room. The staff were extremely pleasant and mannerly. I order poached egg with my breakfast and, after the 2nd attempt from the kitchen I decided to give it a miss.

Considering it was a `bargain` break I would say apart from these niggles, the setting was lovely and the views really did make for a pleasant afternoon sunbathing in the gardens.

The carvery at the foot of the hill was definitely worth a visit, great value and a very large plate of food for £10. The manager was extremely chatty and arranged a taxi to take us back up the hill to the hotel.

Our daughter was married at Gleddoch House in May this year and what a time we had. All of the staff were so helpful and the level of service was fantastic. Events coordinator Anna & manager Elaine made the day really special & took care of everything for us. The venue & views were spectacular and with guests from overseas it really showed Scotland at it's best. The rooms were of excellent quality so clean and bright and well presented and the food was delicious. All in all a fantastic choice and we will all be back to pamper ourselves with a spa and great food for a weekend soon.
Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Room Tip: All rooms are of great standard, we stayed in the rooms above the terrace and the views were spectac...

I only stayed one night to be closer to my parents and needed a family room. This was a reasonable option from the website however the hotel is in need of modernisation, a menu revamp and a reality check on its prices !

The room was a good size and had two double beds and a cot. However this did cramp the space there was and we ended up sitting in bed most of the time: which isn't great when you have two children to entertain.

My wife had to go to reception for a copy of the room service menu which they had to print out. And there were only basic choices on the menu. . Burger, salad, steak pie etc they also had a £5 tray charge to carry the food 50 feet from the restaurant. .. a bit of a rip off if you have to go past the restaurant twice to get the menu and again when they don't give you any condiments with the meal !!

The staff were all very polite and helpful but my impression was that was because Scottish people are that way anyway and not any particular reflection on the hotels service training.

Overall it is a good 2 star hotel but there are two many negatives which need attention to say it is 3 star.

Booked this hotel for my daughter, son-in-law and baby.
They just loved the whole place.

Great food, fab pool room clean and lovely views.

My husband and I have stayed several times and have had a great time.

If anyone is visiting this area please do not spend money on places like

Mar Hall or Cameron House, I have been to both, and told both hotels of my dissapointment , with no reply, both are over-rated and they dont hold a candle to Gleddoch.

Room Tip: The newer rooms are much bigger.

Spent one night here and it was a rare and beautiful Scottish summer day. The scenery and view was awesome, a beautiful sunset to finished the day if nicely.

The rooms were very good, facilities great and of course a golf course on hand.

Didn't actually eat here so unfortunately cannot comment, however if judging by all other aspects, including the friendly staff I am sure the food would be equally wonderful.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

Almost gave four stars, but after much debate decided it only deserved a good three star rating.
Excellent location in hills above Langbank with stunning views over the Clyde. Quality eighteen hole gold course on doorstep and four hole practice area to kill a spare hour on. Pleasant receiption staff. Corridors fresh and well decorated. Rooms complete with tea, coffee making facilities, trouser press, iron and board. Excellent Spa facilities, swimming pool, sauna, gym. On the down side, rooms somewhat tired and could do with new decor. Bed far too soft and springy. Broken latch on window meant it could easily be pushed up from outside. Had to wedge window open with a book to let some air in. Broken latch on toilet door. Extremely creaky floor boards. Small but powerful radiator in bathroom which was too hot to touch and gave off enough heat to make make the whole room hot and stuffy. Attempts to turn off the valves proved fruitless and even a request at receiption to have it turned off did not succeed. Radiator also on in corridor full blast throughout my stay. It was 20 degrees Celcius outside!. A mini heat wave in this part of the world. Hotel would probably save a small fortune if they turned the heating off and made the place more comfortable. Room had poor view of weeds to rear of hotel, complete with litter which someone had previously discarded from window. Half of lockers in swimming pool changing area had been fored open which worried me and those that did shut had poor quality locks. Overall, I would have expected a wee bit more quality from a hotel which boasts a four star rating. The location and setting are certainly four star and this should prove to be a good base for persons on business, being only a short drive to Glasgow or for tourists heading north to explore the Scotting Highlands.
