Charles led 4 wandering retirees to immerse in the paradise on earth all the way from Queenstown to Glenorchy, paradise valley and organic farmland which is inclusive of numerous filming locations of LOR and HOBBIT. Despite a sky wearing thick cloud and sporadic rains throughout the trip, his stylish telling of tales on the famous films at each location smartly turned us to see the blue sky as shown in films, though it is actually still grey. His perfection in guiding and leading us throughout the day is simply second to none. We had no chance to close our eyes while being told of stories and pointing to here and there beside the routes.

The other part of the tour was intensified to the high level of excitement when his land rover managed to equalize with the galloping speed of mother sheeps. Being a true native as well as a former farm man, he was so knowledgeable about every single issue of farm and wild animals. He drove us through the herd of cows and sheeps as well as paradise ducks, almost all of them blinked at him as a long time friend. Despite no shearing show, he gave us an intensive tutoring class how to shear a sheep in a few minutes.

He was piloting his land rover on the narrow and wet track along the cliff edge to reach the top of Mt Alfred, though the 4 retirees got to close eyes and pause breathing from time to time. We enjoyed sipping his coffee and munching his hand made cookies while overlooking the paradise valley and film locations from the top of Mt Alfred. It was indeed a memorable morning coffee break and we managed to pose some photos with Manuka trees.

In a nutshell, Charles is so adorable and professional in guiding his clients. He deeply knew every bit of the known films, geographic nature, environment, farming and husbandry affairs. His guiding style is so stylish, he gave full time and attention to us. He was facilitating and eating lunch with us in a charming small cafe in Glenorchy. The nature and geographical beauty of areas surrounding Queenstown were convincingly introduced to us by him. We have a complete confidence and strongly to recommend Charles to any party who wish to enjoy a private tour from Queenstown. In fact, we intend to return and revisit Queenstown and further south, surely we will call on Charles. We simply like our charming Charles, fantastic guide.

We wish you all the very best. From the four retirees, Gigi, Rowena, Linda and Boonshan

It's so nice that Charles took me for the Queenstown local area half day tour. Fantastic view, professional service, delicious cookies ~

I'll be back to join the Glenorchy full day tour, must be fun.

Strongly recommend if you want to have a in-depth trip around Queens town area.

Hi Joyce,
Wonderful to meet you and be able to show you some of the special locations in the Wakatipu Basin we are so fortunate to live in such a spectacular environment. It was also so interesting to learn so much about Beijing and China and your work with Trade and Enterprise New Zealand.
No doubt you will be back in NZ soon and some day in Queenstown again, look forward to seeing you again.
Warm regards
Charles

What an experience we had with Charles Fri 24th 13. Four days later we are still filled with the excitement of our trip into Glenorchy / Paradise Valley, the information and hospitality plus the High-Tea accompanied with 'wife-baked-biscuits', served up with Master Chef flair high up in the range surrounded by mountains, forests, lakes, valleys and streams . . . . G' awesome!!!

Thanks heaps for contributing to our joyous day

Thank Frederick Steph... R

Hi John good to hear you made it home safely. We were so pleased you were able to see Yellow Eyed Penguins, sea lions and seals through your 2 day tour of the Catlins region. I think one of the highlights were the Hectors Dolphin on the marine mammal tour with Brian from Waikawa round to Porpoise Bay and Curio.
Hope to see you back in Queenstown again some day soon, thanks.

We were picked up by Charles at 7:30 in the morning to take the drive to Milford Sound. We traveled along the southern end of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau. We by the side of the lake and had hot tea and delicious cookies made by Charles' wife. From there, we continued the drive passing Fiordland National Park and onto Eglinton Valley to see the Mirror Lakes. Unfortunately, there was a breeze and the mirror reflections of the mountains were not so visible. We also stopped to take a hike at The Chasm. It was so picturesque...the turquoise waters tumbling down the rocks! The hike was short but wonderful. When we got to Milford Sound, Charles packed us off with a lunch prepared by his wife. The quiche was terrific! After the cruise, Charles took us to the fixed wing plane and would not leave until he knew we were in the air! It was a true pleasure spending the day, exploring the area, with Charles. We were in great hands!
