This is an expensive hotel but worth absolutely every cent!
We had a beautifully appointed 2 bedroom apartment (NB we'd been warned one of the rooms would be windowless but were upgraded to 3 bedroom unit. They locked off one part of it so it was back to a 2 bedroom apt and all the bedrooms had windows, the main with amazing views of Mt Yotei) which was very spacious and beautiful. Beds huge and comfortable, lovely bathrooms with all the extra bits. Be warned- there are about 8 bars in a 50 metre radius of the hotel so keep your window closed unless you like being woken up by drunk yobbos at all hours.
Free laundry on our floor (4).
My husband and I hired our ski gear from down stairs (Niseko Base Ski/Sports) and it was about the same as all the other ski places. They had a place to store everyone's skis and shoes.
They have a half hourly shuttle bus to the Vale chairlift, welcome Centre and Gondola, or it's just a100 metre trudge to tge the Vale baby lift.
Cafe downstairs is really nice as is the supermarket- very expensive even for Hirafu standards- but lots of organic/ gourmet treats.
Would recommend the Shiki- it was awesome!

Stayed there fro 4 night with my husband and 2 girls during Chinese New Year holidays. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance from the Ace Family lift. The rooms are clean and the small kitchen is good for making food. The only thing I would ask for are better beds! I didn’t notice it the first night but the beds are not very comfortable. For the price paid I would expect higher quality beds.

Thanks for your comments, really happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Shiki.
Sorry that you weren't happy with the beds. We use International sized Slumberland brand beds - probably the highest quality beds used anywhere in Niseko. I understand that this is quite a subjective issue and everyone has their own preferences though.

We stayed in a three bedroom apartment facing mt Yotei so I guess this must have been one of the better apartments . We were not disappointed . The rooms were clean and service, from checkin to checkout was impeccable . Whenever we needed anything a phone call to the front desk would be promptly attended to. The staff at the front desk were all extremely helpful and I would like to commend Pei Yin, who went out of her way to help us with everything . She even arranged for a birthday cake to be delivered for my grandson's birthday .
Apart from the service the location is central within walking distance of just about everything, from restaurants , ski shops , even the slopes .
We will definitely be returning !

First time in Niseko (Grand Hirafu) and spent plenty of time looking for the right property beforehand. Up front, I need to say that this is a premium property. We weren't looking for a cheaper property. The main reason for choosing this property is that the rooms are all "western" style...no Tatami rooms and the bathrooms are all "western". The location is perfect - on the main road and easy walking to the Family Ace Lift or take the complimentary shuttle to the Family Ace, Base Quad or Gondola. There is a supermarket on ground floor that has all your needs and is reasonably priced. There is also a Michelin Star restaurant, however we didn't eat there - plenty of other options in easy walking distance. Ski/board storage is onsite and is staffed. Boot storage on site and well set up. Rooms are excellent size and modern - the property is quite new. Full kitchen facilities. There are two levels of accommodation - Village View and Yotei rooms. I recommend not wasting your money on Yotei rooms. These come with a premium price because they look out on Mt Yotei. Most of the time, Mt Yotei is masked by cloud during the day. Also, you are looking at it all day on the slopes. When you are in your room, it is generally dark and you can't see it. I booked this property through Holiday Niseko as well as our transfers from the airport - no problems at all. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Choose the village view and save money

My family stated for 11 nights and enjoyed our stay, hotel is in centre of town and has regular shuttle to ski lifts if you don't fancy walking. Hotel has its own ski shop/ hire and storage service which makes it very easy. Free laundry and wifi was a bonus! Very comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
