“not suitable for skier”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

The hotel is a bit far from bus stop to go to gondola, there are many more apartment closer to the bus stop. if you have toy haul heavy ski it will be inconvenient to go home after a long day skiing. there is locker for ski but no chair so you have to stand to open or wear your ski boots, very inconvenient indeed. the restaurant is very good but you need to reserve 2 days in advance. we also disappointed we can't leave our suitcase in the hotel a few hours after checkout. so we need to pay to put it in the welcome centre (bus station).

Absolutely brilliant, and we had 6 other great meals in Niseko: this was the clear winner!

Think the restaurant is called Yo. Beautiful and traditional private rooms. And food that we had not had anywhere else in Japan. 3 choices: meat, seafood and veg. Being Hokkaido we chose seafood of course. 6 or 7 courses for just 4400 Yen. All simply delicious, including one that was extraordinary: individual rice pots with sliced scallops on top, cooked at the table.

Wow!

Back home in Queensland (Australia) after spending 3 weeks playing golf on 6 great courses around the Niseko area with friends.
Accommodation: Hurry Slowly, in Hirafu Village - Condominium #4.
3 floors, lift, 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus all the modcons required. Very clean with great view of Mt Yotei every day
Use (free - we pay for fuel) of a motor vehicle for the entire 3 weeks made transport to/from the various courses plus sightseeing, trips into Kutchan for supermarkets / restaurants etc that much easier. All you require is a international drivers licence, as well as the Aussie one - Japanese Law

Onsens were terrific. Local one is only 2 minutes walk from Hurry Slowly

Directly opposite Hurry Slowly is Restaurant Yo. Abesan and Nori are the owners and very special people. Viewed the inside and can only imagine what it would be like to enjoy a Japanese restaurant meal there in winter. The 'welcome' outdoor BBQ was delicious, as was the Saki

Would we return to Niseko and stay at Hurry Slowly again - most certainly. Highly recommend to anyone contemplating a winter or summer holiday in Niseko

Decided to Ski a different resort and chose Niseko. Good trip, good apartment. Online booking was most satisfactory. Have stayed at some very average Ski accomodation on some ski trips, but this apartment was well above the previous average. The walk or wait for the bus was not an issue. We went to Ski all day and that's what we did. Was surprised the restauraunts were busy. Needed to book ahead for meals but that's only a small part of the planning. TOO much snow! Usually at some resorts it's NOT enough snow. Overall, if I returned to Ski Niseko again, I would consider booking this apartment again.

My partner and I stayed I may Hurry Slowly for a week in Jan and had a wonderful time! The rooms were clean, comfy and had everything you need for your stay! The staff were very friendly and helped us with places to eat and drink on the mountain and tips for places to snowboard during the day! The laundry and storage proved to be the best feature! The bed was a bit hard but after big days out on the mountain we were still able to have a good nights sleep! Great location, walking distance to the town at night and right near a stop to take you to the mountain in the day! We ate downstairs one night too which was amazing! A feast! Had such a great time here and will definitely stay again!!

Pros: Super friendly service, RESTAURANT!, cleanliness, equipment, ...

Cons: Location bit long walk to skibus stop, nothing else was mentionable.

Restaurant is the best in Niseko Town. You can even borrow car for crogery store trip during evenings.

Room Tip: Two types of rooms. Ask which you prefer, something called "maisonette" is available and I...

I stayed here for 2 long weekends in January and was disappointed. For the price we paid, we expected newer furnishings, hot water and heat that worked consistently and frankly better service. We were finally moved in the middle of my second weekend when we came home from a day on the man to find no heat on the first floor and no hot water for a shower or bath. The owners did drive me to the welcome center to catch the bus home instead of calling me a taxi and were otherwise helpful.

The location is not bad. It is in lower Hirafu and near the no 7 shuttle stop. The on-site restaurant was great, as is Ebisu-Tei, which is around the corner.
