We didnt stay here but came her for breakfast one morning, in search of some eggs (something which was difficult to find in France at breakfast time). The service was delightful, the setting quirky, and the array of breads, pastries (hot and cold), juices, fresh fruits, yoghurt etc was fabulous. And eggs any way you liked them! So if you need a hearty breakfast before setting out on a walk, pop in here and tuck in-all for around 9E.

We stayed here for one night with young children on our way to an weekly apartment. It was a beautiful hotel with really friendly staff and the family room was fantastic. Very clean luxury room with a theme of boats which the children loved. The restaurant had excellent food, and a superb location overlooking the sea right beside great walks along the pink granite coastline. A great location for young kids or adults looking for amazing walks along the coast.

Room Tip: The family room overlooking the sea was especially good.

We stayed one night on our walking holiday. The owner could not have been more accommodating. The hotel is in a beautiful location and decorated in an over the top but fabulous nautical theme. Dinner and breakfast lovely. A really nice stay!

We were delighted with our stay at the Hotel Beausejour in lovely little Tregastel on the Cote du Granite Rose. We had a terrace and a view over the water which we especially enjoyed during the rather wild storm we experienced in the evening and overnight. The waves were crashing! The hotel is quite old style and very atmospheric. The room and the lobby/breakfast area are exceedingly nautical, which is certainly appropriate for this area of Brittany. Every possible nautical angle is exploited from sailboat wallpaper to an oar with pegs on for hanging clothes to a ship's lantern for an overhead light. It's a little bit overwhelming but also a great deal of fun. It makes a wonderful change from the bland hotel décor that is increasingly the norm.

The owner of the hotel was so friendly and accommodating. She met us with a plate of macaroons in hand and was very tolerant of my bad French! (She also spoke English when I got lost with my French). The breakfast was fantastic - best we've had in France. Also, we really appreciated the Jacuzzi bathtub - I've never seen so many jets and loved the rainbow lights!

All in all - a lovely stay in Tregastel. We highly recommend the place for its charm and the friendliness of its owners. The room was slightly small but the bed was firm and comfortable and the terrace (if the weather had been good) would have been great to sit out on.

Room Tip: Spend a little extra to get a room with a view over the stunning harbour.

Typical French seaside hotel. Lovely bar that we never got the chance to try - next time - but we could really imagine ourselves sitting there in the afternoon sunshine. Met by wacky non-stop talking lady in thick black tights wielding a plate of macaroons - taken to our room - the one with the amazing mural, perfect sea view - hostess still hadn't stopped talking. Room is very nautical - quality furnishings - bathroom is old fashioned logis which was odd but the toiletries - and there was quite a range - are the thalasotherapy stuff that costs an absolute fortune - you'll see them on sale in shops and be quite surprised at the price! Eventually our hostess left - still talking - but the macaroons didn't thankfully and were to die for - yes, better than Laduree on the Champs Elysee!! Didn't eat in the restaurant because it was closed - Monday in Brittany - no boats go to sea. I'd go back just to try the restaurant though. Hotel offers discount in the Forum de Tregastel - take advantage of this - a real, realaxing thalassso experience with a touch of local leisure centre but get there early afternoon or you'll be rushing like us to fit everything in. slept like logs - good blinds - our only problem was getting back to find the hotel shut (all of 10.30pm and the place totally dead quiet) and husband having misinterpreted the instructions on how to get back in at night. Breakfast - the hotel seems to run a boulangerie - at least a dozen different sorts of freshly cooked bread as well as cakes, pastries, juices, home made jams and our talkative hostess, by now, cruising the room, trying to sell the idea of crepes and cooked breakfasts - all included in the breakfast price and all looked wonderful. A typical seaside hotel with the most friendly, welcoming hosts. Don't stay if you're trying to diet!

Room Tip: go for sea view

We stayed here Friday 7th and Sat 8th December. We booked for a superior sea view and standard sea view. On arrival we were upgraded to a 2 bed 2 bath suite with a terrace overlooking the sea, our friends had a superior sea view room. Our suite was just lovely, spotlessly clean, beautiful cushions and bedding, amazing array of nautical pics and ornaments. Huge amount of towels and shower gels. Both of the shower rooms had exceptional fittings. There was even a tea/coffee making facility in the rooms, which you do not tend to get in France. We were even presented with a box of home made macaroons which were delicious.

Both the owners were more than welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A fantistic place to stay with sea views to die for. The beds were large and very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing, with an array of home made breads, pastries and yoghurt. They also served us crepes and bacon and eggs. When we checked out, we were even provided with a box of cakes and pastires for our journey.

We did not eat in the restaurant as it was not open over that weekend.

To sum up, excellent value for money in a superb location with the most quirky but fantastic rooms. Would thoroughally recommend staying at this lovely little hotel.

Room Tip: Go for the sea views, they are truely lovely

Actually stayed here August 2011. It's a small family run hotel.
Rooms all have a nautical theme which was a bit over done in my view but that is a minor issue.
Friendly staff, helpful considering my pathetic French conversation skills.
Great location on the pink granite coast.
Food generally was excellent considering the type of hotel, breakfasts superb, excellent seafood dishes.
Would go again definitely - maybe after my French had a brush-up.
