Stayed four nights with a group of 20 people. We were made very welcome by Lucy and Marc the owners. Our rooms were first rate, the ambience in the hotel was very pleasant, the location superb and our evening meals were typical local cuisine but absolutely delicious, made from fresh produce, served hot and efficiently. Breakfast is plentiful and the wine list more than adequate and a superb selection of local and national beers. All very reasonably priced and served up with appetisers. I would recommend this place to anyone, the only thing to ensure is to take enough cash with you as there are no credit/debit card facilities. Wi-Fi but a little slow....will I be going back....you bet....only for six nights this time....oh, did I mention the swimming pool and the gym !!!

located next to the Ourthe, in a beautiful setting. And that's where the good news ends. You're not welcome for drinks on the terrace unless you're a hotel guest. Hotel guests are not guaranteed a terrace table if the owner's friends are in town. The owners are prime examples of sullen people-shy country-folk with non-existent language skills, so communication is a challenge. They openly scold the (very helpful) waitresses for no apparent reason, and do this in public, right at your table. The kitchen claims quality but does not deliver, the beds are great if you like your beds made of concrete. They seem to have entered the 21st century by using wifi-tablets to take your order, but accept only cash - no plastic money of any kind is possible - and the nearest ATM is in Hamoir. Large smelly mold-stains in the room made sleeping with all windows open compulsory. The only thing this place has to offer is the location. Everything else is professionally ruined by the ill-mannered owners and their ridiculous policies. Stay away!

Room Tip: Try hotel down the road.

Quiet but very basis hotel. It's just next to the river Ourthe, pictures of the hotel on the internet or only from the suite. Normal rooms they don't show, because it's very very basic. It's clean at first sight. Swimmingpool was not open, breakfast very basic 80's style. Dinner at night, ok it was food, but better drive a bit further to get a good dinner. Expensive 'hotel/pub' overhall.

Just back home from a 3-night stay at this hotel. We've booked over the phone last tuesday, so this was a very last minute booking. We could stay 2 nights in 2 hotel rooms ( we were 4 persons ) and saturday night we had to move to the appartment. We knew this and we agreed. Over the phone we were asked which meals we wanted, i said only breakfast. This seemed to be okay. Once we arrived, the rooms were nice, spacious, beds are a bit hard tough but this was our opinion. Over the days, we had the appearance that the lady ( owner of the hotel ) didn't like us that much, didn't know why. We had as much questions as every other tourist. The staff was very, very friendly, they did everything to help us. The morning that we had to move to the appartment, we asked at the lady ( owner ) when we could move, she said in an hour ( so about 10h15 ), so we went up to the room, finishing our luggage and just waited until that time. The cleaning ladies were knocking on the door to start cleaning our rooms ( about 9h45 ) and we said, we had to move. She said that the appartment was ready, so we could move immediatly. ( Again something strange from the owner, why do we have to wait if the appartment is ready??? ) This morning we came to breakfast and suddenly we had to move from our table ( with a nice view over the Ourthe ) where we sat two mornings in a row to another table near the bar ( no view ). My father in law did ask why and then she was very arrogant & angry and said that we didn't dine at the hotel. So if you book this hotel, you are OBLIGED to have at least 1 meal a DAY ( exl. breakfast ) at the hotels reastaurant otherwise they are just rude to you. ( When my parents in law arrived on thursday, the owner didn't mentioned a word at the check in that we had to dine or lunch here every day ) & my parents in law did have lunch on thursday at the hotel, were they forgotten this or what????? We didn't use the swimmingpool because this was 5,00 Euro supplement per person per day. Are they crazy????? For the rest the area & Sy was great and the weather was nice. Durbuy is very near and there are wonderfull bike roads but this hotel, NEVER AGAIN!!!

Room Tip: Don't take the appartment, the beds were good ( better then the hotel, less hard ) but the appar...

Stayed one night at this little hotel that is located in beautiful tiny town. Hotel is built right at the edge of a small river. We arrived after a long day riding a motorbike through the Ardenne and the tranquility was immediate. We had booked the very last room available which was the suite with the jacuzzi. Very large room, quality fittings. The bathroom was fantastic with an expensive Villeroy & Bosch jacuzzi in the centre of the bathroom. Had a bottle of champagne sitting outside the room looking at the forest and river. Had dinner, breakfast and lunch. Food was excellent. Hotel is run by a family and they do it very, very well. One word of caution. They don't take credit cards so make sure you have enough cash.
