If you are looking for a home stay near the Beach and beside Paddy fields with lots of cows and cute doggies and romantic starry night.. this is the place for you.

5 min walk to the beach. Very cosy, free and easy. Cute house dog Luki is always there for you.. though I have not seen the owner before.. the workers are hardly around unless you buzz them. Less mosquitoes, beautiful dorms, free wifi, free soap and shampoo, no towels and toothbrushes, hot shower (love this!)
Quiet location.

Forget about shopping. This is a countryside selling nice and cheap local food and necessities.. and by 8pm, most shops are closed. There's a restaurant down the road opened until 10pm. Otherwise, the only happening place is a couple of kilometers away - where Echo Beach Cafe is situated. Only accessible by car/ motorbikes. If the tide is low, you can walk over across the beach to the cafe, but it's kinda dangerous as a moat separates the beach into two banks and the current can be very strong.

Echo Beach is good for intermediate surfers. Beginners should avoid this beach and head down to Kuta Beach.

It will cost quite a bit to get a taxi out to other beaches.

Overall, this home stay is comfy.

The atmosthere is good because you are totally free there. The place is really nice, everything made of wood. The only bad thing for me was the lack of cleaning. I had many small animals in my bed and I had my leg full of bites the next day.

We stayed for 2 in the bungalow, left to see friends and went back after for another 10 days. And we had a really good time chilling with a couple of guys we met there. For us it became a second home cuz there is everything you need. The living and kichen area is under the dorm room and has everything you need for a nice time. Hamock, sitting area infront of the tv, long table, 2fridges to store thinks and a cooking area too. The staff is very friendly and frome time to time the owners (made and esy) steping by for a chat. It is a really laid back place some 5 min scooter ride away from the "busy" eco beach and batu bolong area (nothing comepared to the business of kuta or seminyak) and a 5 min walk to Pererenan , were you can surf on daytime and the locals and some bules are gathering to watch the sunset.
Iittle note:
Sometimes the staff is a little slopy, but if you ask for something (wc paper run out etc) they will organize. Remember island time is rubber time

Thanks to made and esy for creating this nice place with its chilly vibes

EHomestay has been my home for a total of 3 months. If I could I would they there for waaayyyy longer than that.... I would and I will always come back. I stayed almost 2 months in a dorm bed, which is open and you feel the ocean breeze at night. Another 6 weeks I stayed in the bungalow with my girlfriend, which was fantastic. Like your own little home away from home. Either way if you wanna stay long term or just a few nights, I can highly recommend both.
Pereranan is the most relaxing part of canggu. Surf is fantastic. On any day there are options for fun waves no matter what the tide is like. Reef and beach breaks. Great and cheap local food just a few minutes down the road. The atmosphere in the homestay is so chill and there is always a good mix of people. You make friends immediately, since you share a kitchen, a garden with beanbags, watch movies together, or just hang out, sleep in the hammock and chat about the last wave you caught in the morning.
Sunsets are amazing at the infinity pool just 5 minutes down the road on the beach. The two dogs, who live at ehomestay as well, will be so happy if you give them your leftover food from the warung and love to go to the beach for a sunset walk with you.
The owners, Made and Esi and Agung are the greatest. They are there when you need them, organize BBQs on Sundays sometimes and they can give you good advice on just about anything. They are not just the owners of the place but they are good friends who you will just want to hang out with.
Thank you guys for the best time!
Philipp

Walking distance from the surf, chilled atmosphere to relax in with things todo around every corner. It was extremely enjoyable to share the stay with such a variety of kind people. The staff were easy going and very friendly, a great experience of staying in Bali.
