“Excellent stay during Scottish road trip”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

Stayed in twin room - room 3. Lovely room, superb sea view. Personal touches by Ken ie, home made short bread on arrival, fresh milk for tea and electric blankets (not needed!) Very nice bathroom and mini fridge with bottled water!

Breakfast was one of the best of our trip, including fresh cream and banana on homemade porridge, selection of homemade breads and fresh orange juice. Will definitely return very soon. Scourie a lovely place with nice coastal walks and lots of wildlife. Had a light meal at The Anchorage (near campsite) - Good food, would recommend.

Room Tip: Room 3 very nice

Nice little Guest House with a genial host Ken. Had the downstairs room which I found to be OK and clean. Nice and comfortable with some nice homely touches. Understand that they can do an evening meal but I arrived too late. Not a problem - try Kylesku Hotel 10 miles down the road. Bathroom is small but fine. Breakfast is good providing you don't want a late one! Good location.

Scourie Guest House is the ideal starting point to explore far northern Highlands. My room (3, twin, en-suite) was a bit tight but homely, clean and good equiped. Hosts Ken and Madeline are very pleasant and helpful and look after you in every aspect, you will feel like home. Breakfests are perfect and you can also order dinner meal. It's a pity that I couldn't take advantage of it (as a photographer I never know the return time from my trips) because other guest told me that the meal was delicious (unlike the Scourie hotel where it wasn't tasty at all). I recommend this B&B.

Ken and Madeline certainly know how to look after their guests. Nothing is too much for them and our evening meal was excellent. Comfortable warm room with a small fridge and fresh milk for tea.

We had a wonderful overnight stay in this comfortable B&B. Ken and Madeline were very welcoming and the evening meal was fabulous! Within easy reach of Handa Island for birdwatchers. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and the food was superb. The sea view from our room was spectacular and the sunset as we were eating our evening meals was magnificent. Ken the host was very informative about the surrounding areas. A wonderful stay and would be happy to go again.

Room Tip: We found the room to be quite small compared to other places we have stayed but it had everything th...

A grand place for an overnight stay.Homemade shortbread in the room and freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning. Little touches like that are what its all about. The breakfast was perfect and was eaten in the sun lounge where we watched all sorts of We will be back.
