“Always a warm welcome”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

A relaxed, warm and friendly place to have a coffee, gorgeous homemade cake, a yummy panini with homemade coleslaw or some tasty homemade soup with a warm roll. You can sit upstairs where Graham tends the cosy stove or downstairs where there are toys for the children. If the weather is fine, there is plenty of outside seating.
We have watched this place grow and become just brilliant, we love it so much we tramped for 50 mins through the snow to visit! The choice of things to buy in the shop and garden is outstanding, we joke that our garden is a mini version.
Go and visit this super family business and stay for a while to relax and unwind, you won't be disappointed.

“first visit but not the last”
Reviewed March 12, 2013

We were looking fit somewhere different to go for lunch and were recommended this place by a friend's neighbour. We weren't quite sure what to expect but were delighted with our visit. We enjoyed reminiscing about the retro clothing (original Chelsea Girl bell bottom trousers). We had soup & paninini as a sharing plate and are not disappointed, it was delicious and excellent value for money. There is a very relaxed atmosphere despite it being very busy on a very cold weekday. Our lunch lasted until late afternoon, we couldn't drag ourselves away from the log burner. Very friendly, helpful staff. We'll be back!

“Quirky place, excellent vibe and great coffee”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

We have been visiting the garden barn for a good few years now. It's come along way and has evolved in to a quirky shop with lots to look at and some great buys for the home and garden. The log fire is divine and very cost to sit by and sip your drink.
I'm a coffee person and am not disappointed by the quality, paninis snd cakes are very tasty and well presented. Staff are friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend a visit.

“first visit”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

We found this cafe through Tripadvisor and a very pleasant lunch followed. We enjoyed a gentle stroll around the shop and found lots to look a but it did feel cold and damp, hardly surprising after all the rotten weather we have had.The upstairs seating area was lovely and warm and cosy. The choice of food is limited but is done very well so no complaints there. We chose a toastie and it came with olives and crisps. Good hot drinks and nice selection of soft drinks. The cakes looked good, didn't try as prefer savoury. All in all very good, will definitely return.
