Stayed for one night in a very comfortable room. Would ask for one on ground floor next time as stairs are a bit of a problem for me. Very quirky room with beams and sloping floor but extremely comfortable bed and spotless bathroom with lovely hot shower and huge fluffy towels. Delicious meal in the evening and enjoyed a very good breakfast too. Friendly staff, so able to relax and really enjoy ourselves. Very pretty courtyard garden which would be lovely to sit in in good weather. Parking is behind the hotel in a public car park but not a problem. Would certainly stay here again.

We just stayed for 2 nights with our 3 children and 2 dogs. The room was really comfortable, we were made to feel welcome and the food was brilliant. We ate from the restaurant on both nights of our stay. On the 2nd night a polite and kind waitress asked if she could get our dogs a drink, this made us feel at ease with the dogs being with us and was much appreciated. She was very attentive and the service was better than that of a five star hotel.

What I particular loved about this place was the friendly waitresses and reception staff, the delicious food, the great value for money and the cosy decor which feels authentic for the age of the inn. Fresh flowers on big wooden tables on rugs and comfy seating in the snug, the outside seating area is very pretty and well kept. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable.

Food wise, we would recommend the prawn and apple / celery salad with lemon dill, fish and chips, the homemade lasagne and the chicken, ham and leek pie. Myself and my daughter was pleased a vegetarian full English breakfast was on offer, I had it on both days and it was excellent.

If I had one improvement it would be a small fridge in the room for fresh milk and a more powerful shower, but I haven’t given a lower rating for these as it seems petty considering the service, the amazing value for money and how lovely our stay has been overall. Staying here was a treat and I’m sure we will be back soon with our dive school.

Well what can I say from start to finish, this night was superb. 5 family members attended the only fools and 3 courses night. The Inn itself is absolutely gorgeous and so full of character. The entertainment was excellent and the food was delicious.
Special thanks to Tina the events manager and her team for being so welcoming and accommodating to my mum who suffers from alzheimers (the night did her the world of good) if i could give 6 stars i would. Hope to visit again soon.
