“Tasty food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

We visited for Saturday lunch (two couples). The welcome was great and the food was tasty. An interesting menu with some tasty specials. The service was good and the staff were helpful. I think the desserts let the side down and seemed like more of an after thought than part of the menu and sadly my husband found a very long hair in his choc fondant, not good. We enjoyed the meal as a whole and would recommend it to others.

“great quality and value auberge meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

We had an Auberge Night meal at The Joiners Arms on 2 April. It was excellent value: good quality food and a filling meal. Its a set menu at £16: Lobster Bisque, lovely marinated steak and frites, pineapple tarte tatin; all delicious. There are some very nice wines available at the Joiners Arms also. I had a glass of really very good Chablis for about £5, and we had a bottle of young southern French Cabernet Sauvignon which was rich and fruity for £20. The Joiners Arms is a pleasant dining place; although its hidden away down a cup-de-sac there is a good sign on the road junction nearby. There was an open fire going when we were there.

“Fantastic Easter Sunday Meal!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

Booked the Joiners Arms after reading reviews on TA and was not dis-appointed.

The atmosphere did come across a bit quiet when we first walked in, what I put down to the tables being quite close together so people are more inclined to tone down the volume of their conversation.
The food though was really nice and priced just right as well. with 2 courses being around £17 and 3 courses being around £20. You don't feel your over paying for your experience.
The staff were impecably polite and attentative to your needs without being over-imposing.

well worth the visit and drive out to Bruntingthorpe.

“One of the best and most consistent restaurants I know”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013

The Joiners Arms, owned and run by Steven and Tracy was one of the best finds we've ever made having moved into the area 10 years ago.
We eat there at least once a month and the food is excellent, consistently excellent -- with great tasting fish and local meats supported by a wine list that won't break the bank.
Service is friendly and relaxed -- as is the atmosphere of the place.

I would highly recommend this restaurant -- without question.
