Biella's historic section, also known as "Il Piazzo" is located on top of a hill overlooking the town, and can be reached on foot along steep cobblestone alleys, or by a short cablecar (you can also drive, but parking is only outside the gates). In the middle of Il Piazzo is this curious restaurant, situated in a building that reminds a bit of a Tudor mansion. Food is very typical, and well prepared by the owner's elderly mother. Upstairs there is the small 'La Civetta' bookshop, where customers are welcome to browse through books while they wait for their food. If you buy anything, 10% of the books' price will be discounted off the restaurant bill.
