I absolutely loved the property. There is very little that I have wrong or negative to say about this property.
We were a group of 10 adults and 1 toddler travelling from New Delhi and although we've been to Goa before for like 7 times, this was the very first time we visited Goa in Monsoon, plus this was the very first time we stayed in Vagator. We've tried a lot of properties from hotels, to Airbnb but hands down, this was by far the best property we'd stayed-in in Goa.
Sarab, the owner was always so prompt with any sort of communication and payments and everything. At the same time, Justin, the property Manager was very helpful in coming up with suggestions and experiences we asked for.
He helped us out with our Airport transfers and local rentals (Activa scooters, Hatchback car, bikes) as well.
Jaya Aunty was super cooperative with our elaborate food demands given 2 people in the group were vegan, some were vegetarians, some were non-vegetarians and we also had a child with us.
The house is so beautifully maintained. Super clean and so pretty.
They took care of the littlest of things like having ample towels in each room, apt toiletries, pool towels, Bluetooth alarm set in every room, etc.
I just have the following 3 points that stood out a little negative for me, it could be seen as points of improvement by property owners:
1) The Wi-fi was really bad. We actually never even got to use it because it never connected to any of our devices.
2) They had a rule about not accessing the pool after 10:00 p.m. And we were a little bummed about this. Given we are renting out an entire space to live in it as our own and though we took all other rules on point and abided by it; this particular pool rule was a disappointment.
3) Last, and the most important critique - There was no fan or Air-conditioning in the Dining area. It used to get so hot and humid while dining that we would all want to just take our plates and sit in the living room instead. As the dining area is big and open from a lot of ends, it's a little difficult to get cooling in that room from the living room. It needs its own ceiling fan or air-conditioning for sure.
Its a perfect place to stay if you are coming with a group of 10-15 people. The staff is very helpful and very efficient.
The interior is so beautiful that you would definitely click a lot of pictures inside the villa.
They have a small sized swimming pool enough for 4-5 people at once.
They have Bluetooth speakers in all the rooms. They give you delicious breakfast in the morning and can prepare Lunch or Dinner as per your need.
The only 2 things i was slightly unhappy about was First you cant use swimming pool after 10 PM, that was a bummer.
And there should be a Fan or an AC in the Dining area it becomes really hot.
Other than that its a beautifully maintained villa. And i am looking forward to visit again.
It’s like staying at your Favourite Aunt’s House in Goa!
We’ve been to Goa several times with family and never have we felt at home like at Casa de Tartaruga. The moment you step inside, the property instantly gives you the feel of a warm and cozy home. Everything in the villa speaks volumes about the thought put into doing up the place. We’ve stayed in newer and more lavishly done properties in the past but they all had that commercial feel to them. At Casa de Tartaruga, It’s like going to Goa and staying at an Aunt’s house. An Aunt who has good taste in interiors, food, books and landscaping.
If one is going to Goa with a large group of family and friends, this is The Place to stay.
If you’re lucky you might even get fresh mangoes, jackfruit, chikus and coconuts from the beautifully landscaped food garden.
Full marks to the owner, manager and the super friendly staff! :-)
Stayed here for a couple of nights in July. Its like living in your very own heritage 5 star resort only difference is you get the whole property to yourself.
The staff are really friendly, food is great and location perfect.
Definitely going back !
Case de Tartaruga is a beautiful 5 bedroom property. The property is well located and 5 mins from vagator and thalasssa. The rooms are done up in great taste. The wrap around balcony on the first floor , the living Room with the large Tv and the pool side are great places to hang out. The entrance lobby and the library are warm and inviting. The staff including Justin, Lata, Bina Sonu are extremely helpful and make u feel at home. Lata is a great cook and has a beautiful smile. The staff helps u organise transport. Justin helped setting up a musical evening with local musicians. In all it was an awesome 4 days
One of the best places to stay in Goa.Very Picturesque and also you have an amazing cook in the property who will help you with mouthwatering food.
It was pleasure to stay at this fabulous villa. It had very good quality fixtures and decor, at the same time it gave the trusty and homely service which one expects from establishments in India. The staff spoilt us. We had a BBQ cooked staff at my side to provide all the help I needed. And guess what I didn't even had to clean up after a heavy night. The gardens are charming with a water body and gold fish.
The pool at the back was inviting. The bedrooms very grand and very comfortable.
I will recommend this to any group which needed bed for a group of 8-10.
