As the result of a recent refurbishment, the hotel is looking very crisp and clean. At just over £100 per night, this is the cheapest of the 5 hotels* in Kista (but watch out, breakfast is another skr85 per day, included at other hotels).

(*note: the Scandic Victoria Tower hotel is now open in Kista: whilst much more expensive than the Ibis and StayAt, it's competing head-on with MrChip and Memory! Stay at the Scandic on a Saturday and it seems you will pay about HALF the normal price for the whole stay!!)

Back to the Ibis...

The bedroom is very clean, with wireless internet available (although if you go to the reception / restaurant area, you might find some FREE connectivity!!). The bathroom is a "prebuilt pod" but is very good, clean, and the shower is a good size too.

The refurbishment also gives you a good-sized flat-screen TV on the wall, with BBC Worldwide, another English-language news channel, along with several Swedish channels (some of which often show US / English shows, in English, with Swedish sub-titles)

I had 2 attached single beds, with thick foam matresses (very comfortable) with a good quality duvet. The hotel and the room was neither too cold nor too hot... a pleasant change!

Breakfast is in the restaurant / bar area, adjacent to reception, and provides a reasonable continental breakfast. Whilst the hotel doesn't have a formal restaurant, it does run a small menu of good quality "bar food" .. I had a very pleasant Minute Steak, with chips. Drinks and coffee etc all available.

The reception staff (who also help at breakfast as needed) all speak good English, and were very pleasant and helpful at all times.

The main disadvantage of this hotel is its remote location: if you have a car, this is not a problem. Otherwise expect to pay around skr 100 for a taxi to Kista... or take a 15 minute walk along a very boring road!

I would rate the hotel as being well worth using, and if it weren't for the location, I would stay at this hotel more... but whilst my budget won't stretch to the Scandic, Mr Chip or Memory hotels, The StayAt ends up costing about the same as the Ibis (by the time you add in extra Taxis and the cost of breakfast), but wins hands-down on being centrally located.

Very Nice hotel with fair price. Clean and comfortable.
However, is a little bit away from the centre and Staff seemed overloaded, being out off the front desk all the time, due to another tasks as waiter.

Definitely not located in the most charming part of Stockholm but nothing to complain about.
The subway is at 5+ minutes walk and a 24/7 McDonald's has been literally built on the hotel's parking.

Rooms are small but clean and beds very comfortable.

Haven't noticed the construction work mentioned below.

Good deal.
