Hotel Livada Prestige
Certificate of Excellence

Definitely and by far the best hotel in this region. After all, it is the only 5-star. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms well designed, all rooms offering massage shower cabins, all but single rooms also a Jacuzzi with the stinking »black« thermal water tap beside the usual hot water one. Reception staff extremely kind and helpful, room service faultless. Spa facilities possibly the finest in Slovenia. All in all, highly recommended.

Hotels also offers two restaurants. And herein lies the problem. There is a huge one for the halfboard guests, where also breakfast is served; actually, not served – it is buffet style, but offering truly a wide, wide choice for almost entire range of guests (not Japanese). In the evening the huge space is a nightmare designed probably by the architects of the old socialist school – an unpalatable dining hall for hundreds of undemanding Austrian or German pensionists coming for a cheap week in a five star hotel. Huge, cold, impersonal, boring. Food for dinner is not bad at all, but as it is again the infamous buffet style, what can one expect? Service mixed, some waiters showing very obvious resentment to their work, and doing their very best to avoid all but the unevitable workload. Some, led in example by the F&B Manager, truly excellent.

The other one is the pride and the shame of the hotel. A-la-carte restaurant Prestige. The young chef is responsible for both restaurants, but clearly he can only show his talent and philosophy in this small temple of gourmet cuisine, definitely the best in the region, being rivalled solely by Rajh some 10 miles away. Both the chef and his souschef have done their apprenticeships in Michelin starred restaurants, and are entirely up to the challenge. Local ingredients and tradition nicely interwoven with an haute cuisine influence. 16 out of 20 for cuisine. Also service is faultless. Wine list relatively short, but some entries and all markups pleasantly surprising .

Why the shame? Due to the structure of their clientele, going for cheap package deals, and due to the local specificities, there are very few people coming for the culinary delights of the place. So it is closed most of the time, unless bookings have been made in advance. If you want to lunch there, you need to book your table in the morning. For dinner, by 1PM. Why on Earth does the owner (a major Slovenian financial holding, doing also tourism) have such an excellent restaurant to have it used at 5% of its capacity?

I think it is probably one of the best spa hotels in Slovenia. Rooms are very spacious with Jacuzzi in the bathroom. Food is good, but not superb. Anyway, the pools and spa center is very good and you can enjoy in swimming, spa, relax your body and soul...

The soft, totally worn-out bed has ruined our three night experience at this otherwise quite nice hotel. Other than that it is probably the best hotel at Moravske Toplice and its external pools are good enough to stay there without visiting the exact Terme 3000 complex (also included in the room price). Certainly do not expect a 5 star experience. It is almost not existent in Slovenia, but - aside from the main problem with a bed comfort - it is OK for a relaxing weekend. Thai massage there is not worse than in a good hotel in Thailand.

Our obsession with Slovenian spa started after visiting Livada. From the worm welcome at the hotel reception, trough the hospitable smile of the bellboy and a short drive with a see-trough elevator we realized this hotel is something special. The smallest rooms are big enough to have the luxurious feeling of a five star hotel, in room sauna, and a huge balcony. The luxury room’s offer even bigger space, jacuzzi with black thermal water and a gigantic balcony. Everything that you can think of starting from the bathrobes, towels, sauna towels, lounge chairs meet the high standard of high profiled guests.
Sauna world and swimming pools are simply beautiful, almost always empty, with hardly any hotel guests. Guests from out of hotel are not allowed in the sauna and pools. Breakfast is an experience for it self. Freshly squeezed juices, organic food, home made products, pastry, pancakes, personal chefs who are willing too meet your request for eggs, bacon, meet, fried vegetables and anything you could desire for breakfast. A large selection of cheeses, meet, vegetables, gravies, salads will force you to stay in the dining room a little bit longer then you originally planed.
If you are a romantic person, looking for a peaceful place to spend your weekend or holiday, like hiking, biking, golf and above all spa treatments Livada is the place for you.
We have visited almost all Slovenian spa resorts and this is by far our favorite one and worth spending a bit more money for this experience.

I went to this hotel for a conference . This hotel located in Murska Sobota Slovenia is a Spa hotel. It has a large heated indoor swimmng pool which leads out to an open air one. There is also a natural thermal bath outside. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is also big and includes a computerised shower cubicle.
I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone who is planning to have a relaxing holiday in Slovenia.

This was my first stay in this hotel. Putting aside the fact that it is only 5 years old, but looking as it was built in 1970s, the provided service doesn't really correspond to the 5-star status the hotel has:
- laundry service not available after 3 pm, even though it should be available until 6pm (apparently the staff working there already went home)
- one staff member took breakfast in the hotel restaurant same time as breakfast was being served to hotel guests
- the table cloth was not changed for the entire stay in the hotel, even though it got dirty the first night
- it is impossible to get warm meals after 10pm.

If you are not too demanding than you should book the hotel, but if you want a really 5-star service I advise you to book somewhere else.

Room Tip: Higher floors to the west as you get nice evening sun.
