On a recent trip to Spain we had our best meal at this restaurant. There's a really atmospheric cellar that opens onto a small patio, where the figs grow that are used in the delicious ice-cream that is served in the restaurant. The food was fantastic. We didn't go for the excellent value menu but chose from the a la carte, and the venison and bacalao were superb. There's a huge selection of really good local wines, and the recommendation couldn't have been better. Desserts were beautifully presented and equally delicious. Service was relaxed and friendly, with everyone comfortably proud of everything this superb restaurant has to offer. Worth making a trip to Ainsa just to eat here.

We sat outside in the back, looking at the sunset, next to a fig tree. The occasional smell of the wood fire wafting up. Great table, just hard to get waiter's attention. Overall, it was fine.

They have a 3course set menu - €17 with wine...lots of choices. My husband had a tomato cucumber salad with salmon, some delicious pork, and a yogurt parfait. Red wine and mineral water. It was quite good. I ordered from the menu - salad with warm goat cheese and honey, local shoulder of lamb (excellent!) and a dried fig ice cream with almond sauce. Amazing.

In Spain you sometimes see "biscuit" referring to dessert. It's usually a brick of ice cream, not a cookie.

For two, the bill was €55 with coffee, so a typical 3 course from menu will run €30 or so. It was delicious.

Wait staff was helpful, menus in English. With some bad French, we were able to get by.
