“Cosy tranquillity.”
Reviewed September 1, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We had a delightful 3 week stay at this little hime from home cottage. The delightful garden wrapped around the main cottage and our holiday home, and our friendly hosts Ted and Margaret were close by to help with any queries .We thought the location was just perfect, close to Mary Arden farm and a short walk from the station into Stratford Upon Avon.We have already rebooked, and hope that the weather will be a little kinder to us next time.

“A delightful cottage in a beautiful village.”
Reviewed August 14, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We have just come back from a week in lovely Acanthus Cottage. It's spotlessly clean, very comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The large, pretty garden is secluded and provides a peaceful oasis at the end of a days sightseeing. The village has a shop and a station (Stratford upon Avon is only a couple of stops and it saves having to take the car into town) and Mary Arden's cottage is only a few minutes walk away. Margaret and Ted are very kind and helpful and we are looking forward to seeing them again in the future as we will definitely return to this perfect holiday cottage.

“Comfortable, well appointed and very friendly. Superb garden.”
Reviewed April 26, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Margaret and Ted made us extremely welcome at Acanthus Cottage for our four-day break. We had some friends stay for a day and had a wonderful time and a good walk along the canal towpath.
The cottage is very well equipped and the owners had provided all sorts of extras in the way of tea, coffee, cereals and other items that made us feel at home.
Access to the beautiful countryside and villages of the Cotswolds is right at hand, and of course Stratford-upon-Avon is just up the road.
We hope to return for a longer stay in 2017.

“Cosy”
Reviewed September 25, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Everything about Acanthus Cottage was first rate.Thank you Margaret and Ted for a wonderful welcome and for being there to chat to and to give advice on eating places etc,The cttage was comfoertable and cosy with all amenities and two lovely bedrooms for the three of us.It is close to Stratford upon Avon and all sorts of Shakespearian experiences especially Mary Arden and Palmer's Farm, and Anne Hathaway,s Cottage(superb). The food in in The Kings Head in Aston Cantlow is the best I have been served with in years. The Sunday roast in The Mary Arden Inn 100 yards away was excellent. It was also nice to have the village shop 200 yards away for papers and milk in the morning.Thank you Margaret and Ted for a wonderful week ,we wish we had made it a fortnight.

“Lovely cottage, nice space for two friends”
Reviewed July 4, 2015 for a stay in September 2014

Acanthus is a lovely, well appointed cottage. It is in a great location; near enough to Stratford-on-Avon and a train station, but away from the busy town. Hosts were really great. Rooms and amenities were just what was needed for our week's stay.

“House and hosts were Gems!”
Reviewed April 19, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We loved our stay at the very comfortable, clean and well equipped Acanthus Cottage. We enjoyed the walks around the area, the beautiful garden, and the close proximity to village shop and pubs. Stratford was but a short drive away. I cannot say enough about our host, Margaret, she was always there when needed and when a crisis presented itself during our stay she was absolutely wonderful. We are very appreciative. Thank you Margaret and Ted.

“Cosy cottage and a great location”
Reviewed March 11, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

I stayed three nights in Acanthus Cottage on a "girly weekend" with two friends. The cottage is lovely, warm and welcoming and with tea, coffee, milk, bread etc provided which is a lovely touch. It is in a pretty small village and just five minutes walk to the train station with an hourly service to Stratford which is only a few miles away. There is a village shop and two pubs and the canal which goes to Stratford if you feel like walking or cycling. Will definitely go back and stay as it is such a lovely place and the garden in summer would be lovely to sit in after a day out sightseeing. Margaret and Ted were perfect hosts and live next door. Very friendly and there to provide any guidance wanted.
