“A warm, welcoming home, a superb location, kind and interesting owners”

A warm, welcoming and tasteful home, beautifully equipped, in a lovely setting. From booking to arriving to our stay Craig and Lee could not have been more helpful kind and interesting.(We discovered a shared passion for old oak beams and bricks) and they helped us see things we would otherwise have missed.
Wilmcote was perfect for us, quiet, church, pubs and walks and that quintessential Englishness, which ,living in Spain, we were searching for.
We liked the amazingly busy squirrel, the wobbly pigeon with a gammy leg and the gardens (especially watching Craig mow the lawns)
In terms of things to do and see the location is excellent, busy Stratford, theatre ( thou beetle headed flap eared knave), houses and gardens, castles and cathedrals and Shakespeare to boot!-Our favourite holiday stay in England -ever.

“High standard accommodation in a lovely village location.”
Reviewed August 31, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

First time in this part of the country and couldn't have picked a better place to stay.High spec cottage perfect for a relaxing getaway or as a base to explore the local area.It takes about an hour to stroll down the canal to Stratford with a five minute train ride back to the village.
A nice touch on arrival was the welcome basket with milk local bread and cider.Another bonus was watching the squirrels and woodpecker through the patio doors while having breakfast each morning.
All in all a very enjoyable week highly recommended.

“Best in the area.”

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent two stays at The Cider House which provided first class accommodation. The property is ideally located near the center of Wilmcote and a short stroll to the village pub or shop. All the luxuries you require are provided which includes full Sky HD package, air conditioning and superfast broadband. How many other properties in the area can boast that? There is also a generous welcome pack provided of cider (of course!), bread, milk, newspaper and other items.
The owners are very friendly and approachable and keep the cottage and gardens in top notch condition. I could have spent the whole month there had it not been booked up and recommend the property should you be able to find a free slot. All in all a very pleasant experience.

“Delightful - A truly lovely holiday home”
Reviewed August 11, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

After many many self catering holidays I feel that we found what can only be described as atruly "perfect" holiday home. Lee and Craig have obviously put the comfort and care of their visitors before any financial gain. The Cider House is just right for a couple wanting to get it away from it all, but with easy access to a shop, large town and other visitor attractions. The house is spotlessly clean and, although Lee and Craig are only next door, they allow their visitors complete peace and privacy. You are within walking distance of the local train station which gets you into Stratford in seven minutes. There are also walks along the canal and a good local shop with the nicest staff. Just a few hundred yards is Mary rdens Farm - this place is a really good day out. The farm is run as it was in the 1500's with costumed men, women and children - knowledgeable, funny, and hard working! If you decide to take your holiday here you will not be disappointed - we shall definately return in the future. Thank you so much Lee and Craig - it was a pleasure from start to finish.

Absolutely beautiful little cottage. Just perfect for any couple looking for a quiet break away from home, but who like to have high class accommodation. Everything was just perfect, facilities were fantastic and everything so very clean. This one gets 10/10 from us.

“A Memorable Week”

We have thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to " The Cider House " and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing week away.
Its welcoming owners Craig and Lee clearly take pride in the accommodation and it is absolutely spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard with a lovely garden area to sit out and relax in. Wilmcote is a idyllic village with a church, mary arden's farm, two public houses that serve food, a well stocked shop and a train station all within easy walking distance. We enjoyed the canal walks round the village that takes about 20 minutes and if you feel more energetic the canal walk to Stratford-upon Avon takes about 1 hour, we also used the park and ride again to Stratford-upon- Avon that's about 10 minutes drive away and found it very handy. We look forward to returning again in 2015.

“Cider House and Harpe Cottage holiday cottages, Wilmcote.”

We have now stayed at the Cider House and Its sister property Harpe Cottage. The standard of both is superb, with every attention to detail. Their location near Mary Ardens Farm and its location on a circular bus tour visiting all the Shakespeare properties is a great advantage. The railway station at Wilmcote (probably 600 yards from either property), offers excellent access to Birmingham and onward to London or the North on the main line. There are a large selection of National Trust properties within one hours drive. We would have no reservations returning or recommending both properties.
