My first night at this hotel was actually pretty ok. Yeah, the rooms are a bit basic, the aircon doesn't work that well and the WiFi a bit flaky, but what else would you expect in a rural province in Cambodia? I even didn't mind the geckos and grasshoppers in and outside the room. But when I had to chase down a cockroach the size of my thumb for half an hour the second night, I was pretty much done with this hotel. It's cheap, but nothing can compensate for the cockroach chase.

We stayed in Room 202 and had a quiet night there - no roosters, no street noise, no loud speakers from the temples - like the previous comments suggest. So the location of the room seems to be the key for a longer sleep. The room was ok, with sufficient lighting (not so usual in this part of the world, where room usually are a bit dark), the bed was fairly comfortable. The bathroom was ok too, but the shower (over tub) is really only a pleasure for smaller people. Service was friendly, though nobody spoke English when we were there. Breakfast consisted of an omelette, cambodian baguette, butter and jam, and a nice coffee. The WiFi signal was good in our room, though the connection was very slow. The town centre is a 15 mins. walk away along a busy road, with a very few restaurants and a market. Tuk Tuks are also available.

I have now stayed at this hotel twice and it wasn't bad at all. I didn't go in expecting a 5 star hotel where the staff waited on you night and day. It's Cambodia! still a third world country. Both times I stayed the rooms were clean and I welcomed the geokos as they ate any bugs that were there. True I din't enjoy the roosters in the morning but overall I would stay there again when I am back next year. As for the staff, they were friendly and did everything I asked of them with a smile. There were some rude people staying there also and the staff treated them just a nice as they treated me. (I can't say I would have done the same) Overall as far as a hotel in a trird world country, away from the 2 major cities, I tought it was good.

Rooms are spacious - staff is friendly - a little far from restaurants and the market - very noisy at 5 am when the temple started its' chanting over the loud speakers. This happened on Saturday but not on Sunday morning.
Internet was a no connection even though my room has a wireless modem outside the room. Went to the lobby and had a connection but it was slow.
