Brilliant!

If you want total relaxation, wonderful service, water sports, and great food this is the place to come. Unspoilt beaches, nice villas but nothing to see on the island and no where else to go.

Restaurants are very nice with great chefs and a good choice of dishes , varied menus and theme food nights make a welcomed change.

Weather varies and cannot be predicted so expect rain, sunshine and clouds every day, but its always hot. Sea is mild and easy for swimming, every villa has a pool and there is a central pool [ no one there] if you want a change. Good yachting and sea activities.

Great spa with lots of choices and well run.

Competent butler service with nothing too much trouble, good staff every where, interested management from the top who make themselves available for a chat at all times.

Really great for relaxing but its expensive as are all the costs in house for food and drinks, etc.

Room tip: Its a long way by buggy for the furthest rooms, so if you want to be near the restaurant etc then ask for rooms close in. The best rooms are furthest away but are the 2 /3/ 4 bedroom villas with huge pools.

As you highlithed, we do have a very balanced weather almost all year along. Pricewise ; we do also offer half board, full board, wellness (spa) package, including several expenses.

Truly a paradise for beach relaxation

My big family including six adults and six kids spent three nights at Six Senses Con Dao Resort and Spa at the end of October. We stayed at an ocean view four-bedroom villa (No. 502) which offers an amazing infinity private pool and very spectacular view over the calm sea. A special thanks to FantaSea Travel for professional consultancy and for booking our villa at a very good rate.
We really felt in love with the eco-chic style of Six Senses Con Dao while kids were very fond of free home-made ice cream. We spent almost of our time swimming in the private pool or in the clear blue water of the sea. We took a boat trip for catching squids at night but actually no squids were catch. The over a mile long private beach at Six Senses is pristine and clean. Foods were very delicious. Staffs were very professional and friendly. Thanks to Ms. May – our family’s butler for her helpfulness and enthusiasm. Our time there was totally fun-filled experience. We will come back for sure.

Room tip: Ocean view villa on the back row offers more spectacular view over the sea. Book via travel local agency to get the best rates. Don't forget to bring and use sun protection and anti-insect cream.

Great experiences

We travelled to Con Dao in last Aug and Six Senses was our choice. Can say everything is just excellent. Great place, warm villa, wonderful food, nice beach..etc...it is like everything good just gathers into this place.

We even didn't go out for any food as what we need is just right here in the resort. Both Asia and Western food are done perfectly. The beach is clean and nice but was sorry that we couldn't go for a snorkeling due to the sun was not so good during our stay. Next time for sure we shall try it. And obviously we shall go back here soon.

Room tip: Beachfront villa is a very good choice.

Amazing Resort!

When planning our trip we were trying to decide between Con Dao island or Phu Quoc island. The Six Senses looked so nice online we decided to go to Con Dao. The island is beautiful and does not feel "touristy" at all. The hotel sits on it's own private beach. The beach is insanely clean, there are no rocks, seaweed or trash at all. The room or shall I say house that were were in was top notch, you even get your own butler and private pool! The food is some of the best we had on our vacation. Needless to say we will be coming back for sure.

Fantastic!

My wife and I recently spent 3 nights at the beautiful/fantastic/amazing six senses in Con Dao. The resort is amazing and the beach is spectacular. Being an Aussie I am used to nice beaches and am often disappointed by other celebrated beaches around the globe. The private beach at Con Dao though is certainly up there with any beach I have seen.

Our first time staying at such a fancy resort and we were both blown away. It really was everything we hoped for and more. Definitely rustic luxury. We opted for an Ocean View villa for extra privacy due to some of the concerns raised by other reviewers and we were very happy. We never felt intruded upon. Could be more a concern for the Ocean front villas though.

Like others, we didn't think the butler service really worked quite right. It felt like both us and our butler were unsure how to utilise the relationship. Did not detract in anyway from the experience, it just felt a little superfluous.

Food was great. Prices were about the same as would be found for a good restaurant in Australia. Around $30 for a main and $10 for a mixed drink. Prices felt reasonable for what you were getting.

We tried the spa and had a great time there too. Massage was top notch as were the rooms.

Only slight mis-step was the bill at the end. When checking over it we found we were charged for a airport transfer we didn't take. This was quickly corrected by staff, however they then messed up the payments over charging my credit card $50 or so. Again when I pointed it out it was quickly corrected with apologies. Clearly an accident, but it did leave us wondering if the other charges were accurate for meals and drinks.

Taxis are available from the airport and it is about a $10 USD trip (if you object to $10 per head for airport pick-up).

This was certainly the highlight of our trip and I only wish I had planned to spend another couple of nights. Whether it makes me a cop-out or not, I have decided that I like my cultural experiences to be made from the comfort of a five star resort.

Room tip: Ocean view villa is more private than ocean front villa.
