Netherfield Bed and Breakfast
Reviewed July 11, 2009

We have recently returned from Netherfield, having spent 5 nights, with our family.
We cannot reiterate enough the hospitality we were shown by Jan and Grant.
The accommodation, food and picturesque surroundings were excellent and fully warranted the 4 star listing. The lovely weather complimented our stay.
We would not hesitate to return or recommend this quality b& b.
Greg sends his love to Uisken!

Set in a beautiful garden with views of snow-capped mountains, Netherfield B&B was our favorite place to stay in Scotland. Spacious family accommodation, a sitting room with games for the kids, delicious cooking, attentive service, and most of all the gracious hospitality and friendliness of Grant & Jan, who made us feel at home throughout our stay. Grant played draughts (checkers) with our six-year-old twins while we packed our bags in the morning. Walk to forest & river from house, or drive ten miles to some of the best hiking & views in Scotland.

Stayed for 2 nights with Grant & Jan and couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. A very nice and very friendly couple who really go out of their way to help you if they can.

As to the rooms. Well, what can I say.... To be honest, no amount of words can really sum them up. Staying in one is the only way you can truly appreciate them. The most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in and huge too.

If you in the Highlands of Scotland, and anywhere near the area, phone or email them and try to get a booking. You will not be disappointed.

Just had a wonderful stay at this lovely 4 star bed and breakfast. The surroundings and views are magnificent. The house is set in an extensive landscaped garden which would be great to relax in on a sunny day. Pictures on their web site (www.highlands-escape.co.uk) do not overstate the bedroom quality so we were not disappointed in Cairngorm room which was not only extremely spacious with exceptional decor but was was squeeky clean with a great en-suite shower.

The owners, Grant and Jan are a very friendly couple who could not have been more helpful with local knowledge.

The breakfast was one of the best we have had (no need for lunch) wish we had had time to work our way through their extensive menu.

Will definately revisit this delightful accommodation.
