I selected the "Aan de Poel" restaurant as the place to hold the dinner to celebrate our wedding with a small group of 20 relatives and friends, not only because it is just walking distance from the Amstelveen town hall but especially because it is listed as a Michelin-star restaurant.
I and all the attendees concluded it was an excellent dinner. We had an excellent glass of champagne upon entry followed by a five course dinner and coffee and friandise.
The service was excellent, not intrusive, the quality of the food, both its presentation and taste, was superb. And we didn't feel "stuffed" at the end of the dinner, although I could imagine that young people with a healthy appetite could handle bigger portions. But for us it was just right.
The wines that were recommended fitted the dishes very well indeed.
