Rude staff, I do not recommend this restaurant. There are many other great options close by. Stopped by on a Tuesday evening and have never had a worse experience.

This 2 star Michelin restaurant is located at a small lake in Amstelveen near Amsterdam. They have valet parking. When we were there it was too cold to sit outside. So we had a 3 course lunch inside. Service is friendly. The food was very tasty and nicely presented, but portions are small. We found this lunch a bit overpriced.

Had dinner here on a beautiful dutch evening. The weather was perfect so we had our drinks and appetizer on the deck overlooking the water. Moved indoors and enjoyed a gourmet meal with interesting touches. The ambiance is beautiful and they really know there wine.Worth taking the taxi ride.

Went with pretty high hopes and recommendations. Went well on arrival, champagne and oysters on beautiful terrace, but then nothing. Sat for 30 mins with empty glasses. Chased down a waiter who sent someone to our table and we asked for a glass of wine that would go with the first course. Nothing for another 20 mins and I had to chase down a waiter again. I actually asked if there was something wrong because there seemed to be a swarm of confused looking staff but no service. No apology, no understanding of our situation, in fact, their answer was about having 80 covers and it being difficult when everyone moves from outside terrace to inside. Hmm, made to feel I shouldn't have complained. Won't be going back here. Made me feel I was in a chain restaurant.

Food was good, wine was great. However, even ignoring the terrible service experience I thought utrechtsedwarstafel was far better and that has no stars at all.

We read about the resturant in the Michelin-guide, and found it the place to try in the Amsterdam region. Short Version; good and Worth the Money! The only problem is that you expect even more from a two-star Michelin-resturant. We had the "Our favourite menu; wich were supposed to be of the finest courses, sampled during five years in buisness . With halibut, scampi, lobster, eel, foie gras, sweetbread and French apple-cake it didn't feel to exiting unfortunately... The wine paring was decent, chenin Blanc With the smoked eel as a highlight. Also the Provence, north of Provence white, consisting of; chenin Blanc, muscadet and Chardonnay was realy nice. Service was slow in the beginning. Don't bother booking before eight, if you don't want to sip champange and eat oysters or ham by the lake. You'll just be waiting for an hour for the chef to tell you about the menu and talk about the weather... Service picked up in the end, when you got used to the five waiters handlig your table and how to communicate with them... Espesially the 1975-port with blue cheese, picked the meal up a step, in the end!
