“The best so far”
Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

Having recently arrived in the Netherlands we are still trying out all the various restaurants. De Jong Dikker was an excellent find recommended by a work colleague.
As well as having an unusual and beautiful building the food and service were excellent. Staff very attentive with the restaurant Managers also very present and involved.
The menu is easy to use and we chose the chefs recommendation and were really pleased with the quality and presentation of the food
We will return in the near future.

“Expensive but nice”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

We celebrated our sons birthday there and looked for a very special place next to Amstelveen. The old mill is something realy special and th food is also nice. We enjoyed the eavening with our kids although the prices are quite high. Especially for th vegetarian menue we think that this is no value for money

“Wanna eat in a real Dutch windmill?”
Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

If you are looking for a romantic place in a nice place, then the Jonge Dikkert is a place to go. Food and service will not disappoint you. But the atmosphere inside is surely the best asset of this nice restaurant nestled in an old Dutch windmill. Don't think, just go!

“Great lunch”
Reviewed March 4, 2013 via mobile

Tried the 3 set lunch during the "restaurant week" and was not disappointed. Great service and really nice environment sets the stage for the food. Had amazing scallops as starter followed by the main course, a super tender Irish beef tail. Throughout the whole meal, small "in-between" dishes where served. Dessert was a fruit combo with pineapple, white chocolate mousse and pistage ice cream. Really good, will be back!

“In my own village”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

I came here when the mill was still run by the miller and I bought weats for the pigeons there. (Family Heemskerk) Now it is a restaurant, where KLM managemnet loves to spoil best customers on a good lunch or dinner. Busienss is afiliated with the Veranda, which at the entree of teh Amsterdam Woods, more genuine there then the Jonge Dikkert, but goog as well..
