I took my fiance to Venice for her birthday, on looking for hotels within the town i found the prices were ridiculous, so i looked around the outskirts and found the antony palace hotel, and what a find! We looked on trip advisor as we always do when looking for hotels, antony palace had excellent reviews throughout, so i booked 2 nights stay bed and breakfast at a cost of £165, its more than this a night in the town for a 2 star hotel! We went onto their website to see what we were getting for my money, very happy so far, we saw that they did a shuttle service to and from the airport and into Venice town for just 5 euros each, each way even happier after the holiday company wanted £110 return transfer from the airport! So we booked to be collected from the airport, had email conformation of this, great were on our way to Venice. We landed at the airport made our way to collection point and waited, then waited some more, we never saw the bus! We couldn't phone as i had no reception so we got a taxi to the hotel 40 euros! We mentioned to reception about this they apologized for this saying it was a public holiday and the traffic was very busy which was true! so gave us a free transfers back to the airport when we left, we got into our room very clean and modern, we dumped our things then went for a wonder to the nearby shopping centre after booking a return shuttle bus into town for an hour later, we got the shuttle into town a bit late again due to the traffic but not a problem, we wondered round until our time to catch the shuttle, it was early and waiting! Returned back to the hotel had a nice shower went out for dinner, came back had a drink at the hotel bar and settled for the night, slept ok beds are firm but comfy, found the electric blinds were great cutting out any light from coming into the room, breakfast has a good selection but we only had cereals, and some eggs and bacon, booked the shuttle again for town turned up on time both ways, very happy with the service of the staff and the hotel, highly recommend, SORRY FOR GOIN ON SO MUCH!!! but was very happy i chose antony palace.

The hotel is a good 4 star about a 20 minute journey from Venice. The rooms are large and the soundproofing is excellent, the hotel was quite full and we never heard a sound once we were in the room. We had a room at the front which was on the main road but again with the windows closed we heard nothing.
The hotel provides a shuttle bus service at 5 euros per person into Venice (or to & from the airport) which runs like clockwork. You can go into the city as early as 8.30am and stay until late in the evening. The staff are very friendly particularly the staff on reception who are happy to help with any information you need for your stay. Breakfast is very mixed but there is something for everyone. We didn't try the hotel restaurant for evening meal, we ate in Venice twice....and twice at the restaurant across the road from the hotel which is excellent value for money. (closed Mondays) opens 5.30pm until midnight. This hotel provides excellent value for money , if you don't want to be in the centre of the city. I would certainly stay again.

First thing i would like to say is that the drivers which take you to the venice island everyday are an absolute credit to the hotel! they were friendly, on time, very smart and clearly work veryvery hard! I really hope that the management team recognise this .

The hotel provides a minibus service which will take you and collect you to and from the airport and venice island, which is ideal and reasonably priced too. The hotel i would say is approx 12miles from the venice island, so not far by mini bus at all.

The hotel itself was very clean, and done to a good standard, i never experienced that annoying thing where maids are banging at your door eager to clean your mess, but once returned from a day out the rooms were immaculate!

The staff at the frontline were helpful and friendly, they provided us with maps and gave us good advice for once we got to Venice. Breakfast was good , plenty of choice, very nice, smart restaurant.

If your looking to visit Venice this hotel is a great choice, we chose it because we did not want to mess around with lugging cases onto boats etc, its near to both the airport and venice, trendy, modern clean and professional. We felt that in comparison to hotels on the island that this was better value and to a higher standard. The hotel has a bar, a restaurant for the evening, and nearby there are a few restaurants that were very good !

Venice and the surrounding islands very beautiful, the hotel and its staff allowed us to stay in comfort, thank you to all the staff :)

This was a 5 day break for 2012 New year that was perfect in every way. Very good hotel in a good location, due to the shuttle bus that the hotel offers to and from Venice for only €5 each way per person and also from the airport. The Antony palace was a clean and friendly hotel and the staff very helpful. Would recommend this hotel and would love to return this new year but it appears there are no rooms available. Shame!!!!!

We enjoyed an excellent stay here at a very reasonable price. HOWEVER:The last hotel shuttle bus back from Venice is early....10:15 or so...if you miss it there is supposed to be a train from Venice around 12:30 stopping at the nearby to the hotel Gaggio Porta Est station, but the Venice Santa Lucia train station can be hectic/cryptic (as the Italian train system, in general)!!! recommend practicing using this method of return to the hotel once at an earlier time to scope it out (just in case). One night after a late dinner at a famous restaurant we hopped on a very slow vaporetto and missed the bus, no worries we thought, there's always the train...bought train tickets at a ticket machine that said our train was 12:36... went for a coffee and arrived back at Santa Lucia station at 12:20 to an empty station and a guy with a broom who didn't speak English, saying only, "no train, finito" pointing to a board showing next train at 4:30am...Thus followed the FIFTY EURO (50) cab ride........

Room Tip: Get the last shuttle or you'll be SORRY.........

The information and foto's of the hotel on the website are exactly how it is. Excellent.

The hotel is more convenient for the Marco Polo airport rather than the Treviso airport. There is however a nearby railway station (hotel staff e-mailed the train times to me) and there is also a local bus service from Mestre train station.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice preferring to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the island.
