Absolutely one of the best resorts we styed at in Thailand and one of the best resorts in Koh Lipe. The staff were very kind and friendly and the food was very delicious. The room was very comfortable, modern and spotless. We will definitely come back here again, highly recommended!
Lovely spot on a perfect little island. The location was central (although everything is central in the tiny Ko Lipe).
The services were above Thai standards, and that's saying a lot given Thailand's service quality. Some of the staff really made us felt like old friends, going above and beyond the classic Thai smiles.
The beaches were quiet, unlike the other parts of island that have more bars. Yes, entertainment is only 5-min tutuk ride away (for 50 bhat standard), if you don't feel like trekking for 15 minutes, tops.
Love the beach bar. And the bartender was a treasure.
If possible, beachside bungalows are the best.
The one con would be that it's built on a hillside. There were probably 5 flights of stairs between the lobby and the beach.
This hotel is a blight on the island. It makes its money from hosting corporate team meetups and events, blasting karaoke or even erecting a terrible staged event to the detriment of... literally everyone in the vicinity. I don't know why anyone would come to a beautiful island for such rubbish when you could happily let loose in the city and nobody would care. I really can't comprehend why it's allowed (money).
Basically, if you are invited to a work event at Koh Lipe and are due to stay here, ask for a pay rise instead and don't be a part of the problem.
Having stayed in Lipe a number of times the idyllic does sit on a enviable strip of the island - perfect to access and get out for water based activities.
The staff try very hard and particular recognition goes out to the breakfast team who do everything possible to help.
We acknowledge that we have visited during off peak season - that said simple things such as the shower not functioning, the in room phone system not working (and not fixed during a 5 night visit was weird).
There is work on going at the hotel with solar panels being fitted and overall the look of the place tends to scream that money is needed to renovate and update tatty and quite shabby decor.
One of our room neighbours left their discarded food plate outside the room and this wasn’t collected during our whole stay even having pointed this out to the house keeping staff - very odd.
The beach bar menu - food very disappointing and the pizza unrecognizable / cardboard with no tomato on base ?? - ate once and fairly inedible and relatively pricey. Cocktails avoid at all costs - no idea.
Last the entry to hotel from the road is ridiculous / fast down hill and blind corner - and having almost encountered a high speed collision, reported this to front desk - were told that the owners aware and have no intention to change this !! All it would take would be to cut back tree line and add safety mirrors.
Overall - the positives out way the negatives but something’s evidently are not going to be changed.
For anyone not having travelled to Koh Lipe - the island is highly recommended
Idyllic Concept Resort is a beautiful holiday resort.
The location and park itself make for a perfect holiday destination, for couples as well as families or groups.
The park has a beautiful beach in front which is not too busy since it's near the end of the sunrise beach, this also means that there are some beautiful rock formations which you can view and take some pictures at. Also there are coral reefs very close which are amazing to see, you can view them with snorkeling gear from the resort.
There are also kayaks which you can use when there is high tide, so you can peddle around the beach or can even explore some nearby islands.
There are many different rooms each with nice surprises or extras like a beautiful view, a bathtub on a nice spot, an outside shower, a big balcony with nice places to relax, a garden bench, etc.
The beds and towels are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful to assist with any wishes or inconveniences.
There is a very professional fitness center, where you can do all the fitness training you are used to doing at home.
The resort has 2 swimming pools which are kept nice and clean. You can take a big towel and relax on the chairs near the pool and enjoy a cocktail or some food.
The food tastes great and fresh and there is a good size menu.
In the morning there is a breakfast buffet with a wide choice of foods and drinks which you can enjoy while enjoying the calming effect of the ocean view.
Sometimes special events are organized , Seafood buffet with live music and a fire show.
Or an evening cocktail at the beach with great live music as well.
At the resort you can enjoy all the comforts and luxuries you want, and of course the location is what makes it great, Ko lipe is an amazing island to explore.
And Idyllic is an amazing place to stay.
