Best restaurant/bar I have been to this year - called in at a very busy time, a young woman who wasn't on shift yet started early in order to seat us and take our order. Very friendly welcome. Food was great quality and a very reasonable price - would recommend the chowder! Couldn't find a better place anywhere. Great atmosphere inside.

Eaten here twice, the first meal was steak, cooked exactly as I’d asked for it, but not the best quality. The second meal was the scampi which was delicious. Staff are very friendly and the pub has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. It’s the only place to eat on Monday’s and Tuesday’s unless you can drive.

Lovely food, freshly cooked. Pleasant & attentive staff. We were surprised how busy it was in off peak. Might be a good idea to book ahead.

Love this pub. Great live music and food as well as my favourite bar in the area. It is like going back in time. Should be on anybody’s tourist trail of the area. A great real local pub.
