The restaurant is located on a street which is parallel to the most crowded and popular main street of Alacati, Kemalpasa Caddesi. Taking into consideration this fact we had some doubts about having a dinner with noise and crowd, however when we just stepped in the restaurant we understood that a romantic, quite and peacefull couple of hours were waiting for us. The owner of the restaurant has welcomed us in person and showed our table which was designed really chic and located under a olive tree making the place cozy at the same time. She also helped us to choose our courses from their a la cart menu and she also made perfect suggestions about their special cocktails. I have choosed “green applle & ginger prosecco” which was really fresy and appetizing. We have continued with a bottle of wine which was a part of really well selected and rich wine menu. We didn’t understand how we spent three hours with a romantic music, tastefull food and full of conversation. In the final we had tried amazing desserts which have touched our all sensations. We higly recommend this place specially for couples who want to have an eye to eye dinner in a hidden garden with full of tastes.

We had spent 5 days in Alacati with full of nice memories and one of them was our dinner at L’Escargot. We were staying at Vintage Hotel and the hotel owner Yeliz has reccomended this restaurant when we told her that we are really interested in gastronomy. We have been informed that the restaurant was only designed for fifty guests, which makes hard to find a table on the same date, serving a la cart menu and tasting menu at the same time. The suspensive menu of the restaurant was really surprising to discover it during a vocation. We had tasting menu starting with pea gazpachio which was beyond of my expactations since I had it many times before in different cities of Europe. I can easily say that it was the best gazpachio that I have ever had. Another surprising course was sardine with squid sauce. The design of the plate was like a tree with roots and soil as a viev coming from the nature. The sardine was cooked with squid sauce which made it black however it did not feel like it was over cooked, contarily the taste was surprisingly fresh. In addition to those incredible tastes the service was suberb and the attention of the staff was making the dinner really enjoyable. The staff was aware of all service rules, ingredients and cooking tecniques of each course and that was also a surprise for us to accounter with such an intellectual staff. If you are also interested in gastronomy do not skip L’Escargot.

Appropriately named after the slow but tasty Escargot this restaurant offers a real dining experience. Once you take your seat everything starts to flow in a harmony and ends with the same fashion.
