It was.really unexpected and pretty surprise to meet this hotel. Except for being slightly expensive (which, in my opinion deserved tothe last penny) I could not find anything to criticize. Do spend one full night at the terrace that I guess is unique in whole Alacati town. May be owners can also prepare for you a dinner at the terrace if you request and for sure it will be very romantic and relaxing. All the port and town is under your eyes. Hotel has a very pretty and well maintained swimming pool, decoration is nice and all I can say is that I recommend it strongly if you have suitable budget.

We found ourselves in a high rise hotel that we were unhappy with. I read the reviews for the Chigdem and thought I would give it a try. Everything I read was true. They picked us up from our hotel, the gave us a guided tour of Alacati, they drove us to the beach, served us tea when we returned and prepared a dinner of grilled fish and traditional Turkish food just for us. The hotel was thoughtfully and tastefully decorated by their daughter in law. It was fun to talk to the whole family, they were all so gracious. We spent time on the roof looking at the stars that was comfortably fitted with cushions. Very high quality.

couldn't wait to write this review. the staff & service at the chigdem was perfect. not a single complaint. they drove out to meet us in town because our gps was having issues finding the hotel. carried all our bags from the car to the room. served us tea & cookies at midnight....no charge. they upgraded us from a deluxe room to superior room at no charge. the room was very nice and comfortable. breakfast was outstanding, everything was organic & fresh & healthy & delicious. one staff member walked us down to the bazaar and showed us a few spots around the town. the young boy Fatih was super attentive, he would bring us anything we needed. when it was time to go, we were walked to the car and sent off with smiles and handshakes.
very friendly atmosphere.

We extremely enjoyed our two day visit @ Chigdem Hotel Alacati. The staff were helpful, pleasant, courtesy and warm welcoming atmosphere. Everyone commented how excellent the quality of the food and rooms was...One of the best ever, if not the best Boutique in the world. Highly recommended and we looking forward to book again and again!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
About UsCommanding a fine view of Alacati, Chigdem Hotel greets the day with the sunrise. This hotel reflects the peace and nature among the bougainvilles overlooking Alacati's famous windmills. You can start the night sipping wine on the terrace-bar watching the sunset. It was constructed by certified engineer Batacar Baysal who made a surprise and gave his wife's name to the hotel(Çiğdem) and was decorated bytheir daughter-in-law, Gunel Baysal.Crocus FlowerCrocus flower, Colchium in Latin, is originally native to Eurasia. It is plant of woodlands ; blossoming in a variety of colors, standing out to strong winds with its fragile body, reminding us to endure and the power of existence. It has 59 species, 30 of which grow in Turkey. These flowers appear in the late winter often emerging in a colony when hardly a few plants blossom in the meantime. Flower color ranges from yellow, pink and blue, to a vast array of shades.Known as one of the most expensive spices of the world, Saffron is is obtained from the stigmas of of Crocus sativus. It was used to provide with nice odour for the baths by the ancient Grek and Roman. Crocuses have the late-winter/early spring bulbs. They are the first blossoms of spring and autumn. They have a short flowering period and after a two week process they end up with their buds. They survive until the next year by their bulbs storing the nutritives. These are the bulbs sold by the florists. It means you can grow any color of these flowers in your garden. Our hotel took its name from our hostess who took her name from these flowers: CHIGDEM.Special Category HotelSpecial Category hotels contributes to the tourism and are supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
