“It's like staying at your aunt's sophisticated vacation house”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2009

There are many hotels in alaçatı but this one has a warm feeling mixed with luxury. Rooms have a very nice touch to them with unique items and high ceilings and too comfortable beds, and the breakfast is better than anywhere else. It is almost like staying in a vacation house owned by your aunt, who likes to spoil you and is a brilliant cook.

Sudan hotel is perfect for those who want to feel like they are not tourists but privy instead to Alacati's backstreets and little secrets. Tucked away from the main drag that can be downright too busy and bustling, Sudan instead greets you with individual style and a relaxed but cool atmosphere. each room has a unique design accent and the attention to details, from the round bathtubs to the pristine white wood floors and walls make this hotel really stand out from the rest. Breakfast is included and amazing, the local produce in that region is exceptional and so sudan makes use of organic ingredients in everything. for an amazing cucumber mojito and surprising fusion food, hop over to their sister restaurant for dinner, also an Alacati treasure.
Alacati itself is an incredible place, with windsurf champions practicing in the shallow icy waters, beach clubs including the renowned istanbul concert venue Babylon, and restaurants that cater to a mostly native turkish crowd. you will not have to deal with cheap tourist traps or cheesy cultural mutations here, but instead truly enjoy the coast of the aegian, Cesme and Alacati as it still remains untouched by the usual mass European tourist crowds.

I've been spending my holidays in Alacati for the last ten years and really love the village. I am a regular at their restaurant Su'dan but this was my first time staying at Su'dan Palas.

Spacious rooms with tasteful combination of minimal and vintage designs, huge bathrooms set a very unique atmosphere, very different than the general countrystyle look of Alacati.

Art gallery hosted by the guest house is definitely worth a visit. We will definitely be back for more evenings spent in the garden, listening to good music and sipping that great complimentary rose..

I spent four days at Sudan Palas, stayed in the suit room.It was a real break .I loved the location as it is in the town but not in the crowd, I loved the room as it feels like home but as if we live in another time frame in the past.It is a very old building, a house renovated very very nicely, very minimalist but in style. Room has high ceiling, very nice bath with nice towels, olice oil soaps which is refreshing.I loved the garden where the reception is with always great music in the background and chocolate muffins to be served to guests..wow! I need to mention that breakfast in the sudan restaurant next building is delicious..very creative breakfast menu and very nice serving...I even bought the same cups&plates that hey are using. They were kind enough to provide me the address.Nice people there! and very keen to do their job the next way. It is a very small hotel with five different room but really well done.

We loved staying here .. very "Wallpaper" style in decor with only 5 rooms in a big old stone house just a couple blocks away from the busy and noisy pedestrian road and main town square. Breakfast was amazing with fresh olives, tomatoes, bread, cheese and jams and delicious local yogurts. it also has a very sweet little garden where we hung out in the evenings listening to nice lounge music and ...crickets. For long term or short we will definitely be coming back.

Because of my profession I travel a lot and usually stay in boutique /design hotels and eat at gourmet restaurants.

Last year during our Fashion Fair in Alacati we stayed at Su'dan Palas. The effortlessly cool and happy atmosphere in this tastefully renovated old greek house has made us feel at home.

We loved the decoration, the persian sisters who own Su'dan and their genuinely friendly staff.

Both the food at Su'dan Restaurant and our stay in their hotel has been a great experience and we look forward to visit them soon.

This was my second trip to Sudan Palas and for sure not the last one! The hotel is designed with respect to the heritage of Alacati, combined with details that gives you the perfect picture.

One of the most notable features of Sudan is the friendliness and hospitality of the owners. You can easily observe the passion and dedication to their work. Everyone working at Sudan Palas and Cafe are special they are extremely gracious and made us feel extremely welcome in a very relaxed and kind manner.

A special note for the restaurant: This is an experience that you'll never forget!
