Beautiful setting at the bottom of Leith Hill, great walks and fab pub nearby, very pleasant owners however... Facilities too few and not clean. However basic a campsite facilities should be cleaned.
Pitches OK, literally just fields but great to be able to have campfires.
The downful for our group was the noise.. I eventually trudged across the field at 2.30am and kindly asked the group of young so called 'festival goers' who figured they owned the place to turn the volume off. Greeted by a very intoxicated group who offered to 'turn it down'.. A few exchanges later they agreed they were being unfair and curbed the noise.
With the number of families with young children and a DofE group in this field perhaps someone could have checked at 1100 to make sure they were quite..
Sorry such a shame but probably won't go back..

I found this site just ok, very friendly and a flat field but nothing at all that would make me go back. Facilities are basic, which is fine but not many of them, and not as well maintained as others I've come across. It was noisy at night, the geese kept me awake all night the first night. Feel a bit 'meh' about this one....

We came here with short notice in August and managed to get a pitch. Two adults 3 toddlers.Brilliant proximity to London, beautiful countryside.Being on a working farm all added to the trip as did the freedom to make your own camp fires. Its a couple of fields on a farm with some showers, toilets and a shop all well managed.

Room Tip: Don't expect to much

Came here with friends after completing my gcses and had an excellent pitch with plenty of space within a very short walk of toilet and bathroom facilities. Had some very enjoyable walks (despite my friends' reluctance!) as the farm is placed 200 yards from a walking route which links up to leith hill tower and other attractions in the area - a map can be found on site giving details of routes and attractions but unfortunately not opening times. The food was of a high quality and good price but there were only burgers, sausages and eggs on sale but there was a more convenience style shop within 15 minutes walk of the campsite.

We just spent a very sunny bank holiday weekend camping with friends at Etherley Farm near Ockley.
The campsite is 2 fields on a working poultry farm and although basic is a great campsite. There were sufficient toilets and showers for the number of campers on site despite it being sold out for the weekend, don't expect anything glamorous but they did the job and were kept clean throughout the weekend.
There is a camp shop from which we bought eggs for breakfast and some very tasty chicken which we cooked over our open fire.
There is a great pub just 10 mins walk away (The Parrot) which had lovely food (don't resist the award winning pies) and a good choice of cider and ale.
We walked up Leith Hill through the Rhododendron woods which was beautiful and well worth the effort when you see the view form the top and have an very tasty ice cream from the kiosk in the tower.
Our only issue was some of the other campers (which we can't blame on the owners) who obviously had a different idea of fun on a weekend camping than we did - loud music was played most of the day on Saturday but did go quiet when I presume they had been 'told off' of Saturday night - it may be worth asking when you check in if they know of any big groups booked in so that you know to avoid them.
