What more can I say - stayed 1 night on way down South and booked for return journey. Great ambience. Very welcoming. Clean good sized room. Good selection for breakfast. Had adjoining room for kids and free WiFi - essential with teenagers who always need to stay connected.

Room Tip: We had rooms 2, 4 & 6 (adjoining for kids) on ground floor.

Two very good nights here. Very comfortable very clean, nice size room and great value for money. I was surprised to find we had free breakfast and free Wi-Fi included. Staff very helpful, very friendly and good to deal with. Easy to find and even close to a busy road, very quiet.

Friendly, clean and comfortable hotel.Great for a short stay. Will definitely return, in fact have booked another stay. Restaurant adequate - could be a little more adventurous regarding breakfasts. Overall well pleased as a base to visit Preston, Southport etc.

Room Tip: Go for the one with the sofa bed

We stayed here (family of four) for one night on a stop over on our way to Glasgow, It was the perfect location for us and excellent value for money. The room was a lovely size, air conditioning made it really confortable and it was immaculate. It always amazes me how quiet they can make it despite being close to main roads etc. We went to eat our evening meal at a pub a few miles away as the restaurant didn't seem particulary appealing but that's probably just a personal taste thing.

The only other slight downside was the receptionist. She was professional and courteous but I couldn't go as far as saying she was friendly. I sat in the bar later that evening reading my book with a glass of wine while the children (and husband) settled to sleep but was distracted by the receptionist typing on the computer with her nail making a really loud clicky sound. Very picky I know and feel discourteous mentioning it but feel I should review as honest as possible.

This is our second experience of a Holiday Inn Express and I can't recommend them enough.

Room Tip: Not really as I suspect all rooms are equally as good.

This hotel has been part of other organisations in the past but has been completely refurbished and modernised. Excellent standard of rooms, good value and helpful staff. Located right next to junction 29 on the M6 it is easy to find.

Room Tip: Even though the hotel is located next to the motorway there is no traffic noise.
