We stayed in Anchor Cottage for one week with our kids and my parents to celebrate their wedding anniversary. The cottage is very well equipped, cosy and very comfortable. We really liked the large walk in shower room. The views across the river are stunning with loads of ducks and swans for the kids to feed and plenty of passing boats to watch either from the private garden terrace or the living room .
The walk into the village takes about 5 minutes and there is a good selection of shops including Roy's supermarket (which stays open until 8pm most evenings), a department store and a good choice of places to eat and drink.

We enjoyed our week in this area. The cottage was comfortable but the noisy floorboards were more than annoying. If you had small children it would be awful. It was great to have easy parking which is rare in the UK
