An excellent menu at good value. The grandson was entertained with colouring and stickers and we had an excellent enthusiastic server-- Kate.
The food was well cooked and hot and better than we have had in near local other chains. The menu knocks spots of the Harvester one.
The location is easy but parking is a little tight and expect to wait for a table at busy times.
A great experience. Good food good service.

I'm not a fan of chain restaurants but the six of us were so hungry we dived in here regardless! There was plenty of parking space in the car park. Diners are asked to wait to be seated as some had already made reservations. We were settled promptly at a large table and had a waitress allocated to us. Our drinks arrived, our orders taken (with some helpful comments by the waitress) and the food arrived promptly. We adults all had fish in beer batter and I must say it was the best fish I've eaten for ages. The portions were very satisfying and we didn't have room for desert! Can't remember what the children ate but there were no complaints and the plates were cleared!! would return for a meal.

Other friends and family did not recommend the Treacle Mine to us but we thought we would give it a go anyway. We really enjoyed our meal, the staff were friendly and very helpful and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The wine was also competitively priced and extremely palatable.

Can't comment on the food as we were turned away at the door.

As two families totalling eight plus a baby, we were turned away because we had not booked. We had arrived at 9:00 on a Saturday hoping for breakfast, but were told by the lady at the door that as we had not booked we could not eat there as any guests from the adjoining hotel would have to take priority. We could only see two occupied tables in the entire restaurant and would guess at there being at least twenty or so empty ones inside and many more outside. Finding ourselves positively bewildered, we decided that rather than complain in front of the children, we would head to the local Toby Carvery instead, which I can positively recommend for a cooked breakfast.
